I don't blame Miller; Woods has been questionable with rulings over the past year.

His comment today just reminded me of something he said last year. I forget what tournament it was, but it was a few weeks after the Masters controversy. Tiger had pulled his drive into a lateral water hazard and Miller was questioning where he made his drop. From the 18th, box his view was the same as ours...there was no view whatsoever. The on course commentator said the drop looked to be in the proper place but Johnny just replied "I'm just sayin'." It appeared to me that he was just trying to start something where there was nothing.

But I may be biased. I agree with Zinger about Miller being the biggest morman in the booth.

Why no slow motion fo/dtl analysis?

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Gotta be a ton of teeth gnashing going on in the Tiger-Haters camp today. Lol. Anyone accuse him of cheating yet?

I don't ever count Tiger out, when he is 100%, he still is the best player out there. Regarding Majors, there is no rule you have to be winning regular tournaments to win a major, in fact, I seen to see players every year win a major and nothing else. You do however, have to be playing 100% at that time. If Tiger can come at 100% (or even 90%) to one of the majors this year, he has a chance. I get he isn't as consistent of a winner as he once was, but a lot can be attributed to injuries and age, when he is feeling good (like last year), we still got 5 wins from the guy. So I ask, who do you honestly think is a better player than woods when woods is playing well?

90%, get real! Any player will tell you (Tiger too) that to win a major you need to have a 110% tournament. As to your question of who equals Tiger when he is playing "well", there are a bunch right now. But when Tiger is playing great, hmmm well let's just say the group gets much smaller, because after all a lot of golfers have had great runs, and Tiger probably has had more great runs than any other player.

Tiger just shot 66, the lowest round of the week to play his way back into contention. Tomorrow might be interesting.

I haven't been to the tournament at Doral since it was the Doral Eastern Open. That's probably before most of you were born, but then I admit I'm an old stinker. I'm supposed to go tomorrow with 2 of the teaching pros from the golf course where I work for my part time retirement job.

The weather tomorrow is in question. It should be nice, but the winds are supposed to be a bit higher than today. It should be interesting.

I've had a good day if I don't fall out of the cart...

Read a few posts up.

Without scrolling up, I'll just hazard a guess that it's Phan, tmac or Spitfisher. :-P Or Rick Martin, but he'll probably only post after the tourney.

Tiger shot 66 but others can go low today too. I expect he'll finish the day around T10, four or so shots back. He was out early enough that he's moved up, but the course is playing easier than the first two days.

Edit: I'll leave that up, but I forgot it's 4pm and he's still T5, so I'm quite possibly wrong. I thought it was earlier. :P

Oh, for sure, but he's got another 18 holes tomorrow so he's made pretty good use of moving day. Plus, he's got some serious "mo" going into Sunday

EJ, I'm not sure white guys from Canadia are supposed to say "mo"...

I agree, but I'm from Canada not Canadia.

At this point it looks like a safe bet that he's going out second to last tomorrow with Dufner.

    • I agree with @pganapathy about removing some clubs. I would recommend removing the 2, 3, 4 and 5 irons for now. Play with Driver 3W 5W 3H 5H 6 iron 7 iron 8 iron 9 iron PW ( you don’t have listed) 52 56 Putter Th 60 wedge can be difficult for new players, but you could keep that If your 3H is adjustable, increased the loft to be more like a 4H. Play with these on course and see if you can get a feel of the actual yardages for each club and especially the gaps between them. It may take 10 or more rounds. A par 3 course is helpful for determining the gaps in the irons and some woods too. A device like a Shot Scope H4 can really help give you your actual yardage on course.
