Agreed. It was well written with some new anecdotes, but the overall themes surrounding Tiger Woods remain unchanged by the article.  The major point I disagree with is definitively declaring tha

I don't know if this has been brought up here before, but I just watched a YouTube video about Tiger's SixPeat - his six year run of 3 USGA Junior Amateurs followed by his 3 US Amateurs.

From what I've heard, at one point Nike was very low on wedge blanks for tour players so they sourced some blank heads from Miura. The heads were ground by Nike tour club guys, were in play for a shor

I didn't make fun of you… I just said I'm not a big fan. There's a difference. 😄

But yeah, "filler" is a good way to put this Tiger thing.

I was mildly disappointed, and only mildly so because I kinda figured it would be what it turned out to be. They could have really dug into just how awesome the comeback was, from almost literally not playing golf for two years, to this.

Alright, my bad haha.

Yea, it needed to spend a good 30 minutes on his time away from the game. Shame they didn't explore that much.

Gilmore won it for Chubbs, so there was a bit more emotion in that one.😜

The total opposite of where Earl Woods told Tiger the inner-drive to win comes from! Gilmore was really something that season. Shame the hookers and booze and two Grown Ups movies had to ruin his later career.

Great article, thanks for posting.  This is the most excited I've been at the start of the golf season in a long time.

Good article. Altho they couldn't help but throw something in the about Tigs looking like a "free safety"....SMDH

Yeah, he so doesn't. That's written by people who have either never been around Tiger, or who have never been around linebackers or free safeties.

  • 3 weeks later...

While at a local sports book last night, I bought a futures, prop bet on Wood's current season. I went with 3+ wins. One of those 3+ wins will be a major.

If he pulls it off, I will win more than a few dollars on my $100 bet........lol

    • I have played with this push-out early then suck in collapse loopy move for so long, the Mylan coating on my brain pathways is like 40 years old veneer on hardwood.  I really need a few good rounds at some point with this then I can get some trust and re-Mylan for good. Need to survive the lows this year. Digging deep for patience.
    • Kinda, but kinda the opposite too. If you push your hands "out" early, they'll "suck in" late and fold/collapse. If you just turn (ideally on a steeper angle with your shoulders), and lift, and fold barely… they'll be plenty wide and deep enough.
    • Was without network on Friday/Saturday so was unable to change Koepka (missed cut) with Harris English (-8 and 80 points on Saturday) between round 2 and 3.   Pfffff!
    • I have the M3 and the answer is no. You can hit just as wicked a slice with the slider set to "Draw" as you can hit a massive hook with it set to "Fade". (That's why I keep mine in the middle.) As others have said it's all about club head path and face angle at impact. At the big box golf stores, if you ask nicely, the may just give you a wrench. (At least at Golf Galaxy they did for me.) They have tons of them in the back.
    • I think I am starting to understand the need for hand depth to gain width.
