Funny how I see the same thing and see it more as a look of "Didn't that putt look like it broke right?", or "We/I sure got that one wrong" as oppose to him casting blame on the caddie.

I'm with @Golfingdad on him calling out his caddie at the travelers last year. That was a bad look. A

Maybe I read the look on his mug wrong..? I just call em as I see em.

Where's the ambivalent option? I like his game, but he's a little too emotional and Jesus-y for me after the round.

Pretty much me.  I voted "Yes" because as a golf fan, my relationship with him just as a viewer watching him play.  I think his talent and homemade swing and power and playing style are fun to watch.  I don't mind the emotion, yelling at his caddy and whatnot is a bit lame, but hey, if you wanna cry after you win the Masters, I mean come on, I'd probably cry too.  But his extra Jesus-y vibe and speaking out for some of the opinions that come with that rub me the wrong way.  So I'm not a full on fan, but can't deny I love watching him play.

I was a fan, but not anymore.  You can't cry and thank god when you win, and also scream and swear at your caddy and blame other people when you lose. You don't get to have it both ways.

Crazy talented guy, but I can't respect a guy that acts like that.

Yeah, I agree.  You would not want to have any fun in life for sure.

A little off topic (but not much).

I didn't realize how old Bubba was. I never figured he was closer in age to Tiger than to Mahan.

Sure, I realized how old he is and also how old Miguel Angel Jimenez is who tied the course record during the tournament.

You should listen to his comments during his round interview. Basically, he's too busy to go champions tour B-)

Not a huge fan but a fan. He's fun to watch with the big drives and go for broke attitude. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and I like watching the ride.

The only negative for me is the yardage incident with the caddy but I got over it, and his caddy probably did too. I would hate for the world to hold everything I ever said or did against me. There have been plenty of times that I have said and done things that would have made that caddy incident look like a love fest and I wished later I had a take-back.

There have been a few things reported about him, maybe over-reported, that may bring him down in some peoples' eyes. But you could find that on anyone. I voted fan.

Temperamental

Yep. I would say that's a fair statement.

Do you have any idea how many athletes are "temperamental"? If you hate all of them I don't even see how you could be a sports fan without going completely nuts. Somebody would have to be crossed off of the list of people that you like almost every week.

Ever hear any real stories about a lot of former athletes (including golfers) that are held in reverence today that were lucky enough to play before reporters reported half of the things they did?

Just asking because I don't know...where and when did he scream and swear at his caddy?

My take on Watson.  He is kind of naturally an ass at times, but is also trying to do the right things and it does not always happen.  It is not easy to tame that part of yourself...I know about that, and I won't judge an athlete for it.
