I'd be like Luke Donald and game the TaylorMade / Mizuno combo.

Currently, I really like playing the Penta and their Ghost Spider putter.  And their Driver/Fairway/Hybrids are solid.  And I enjoy the Mizuno irons a lot.  Would be a nice combo for me.

Mine would be Loudmouth, since that is where most of my non-playing golf money is spent. Although it might save me more money if my club sponsored me.

On a similar 14 clubs one company thread a couple of years ago, I chose PING; but, now that Adams has acquired Yes!, I'd choose Adams. Great drivers, superior FW and hybrid technology, love the MB2 irons and wedges. Adams is part of TM, so I'd play with the Penta or TP Black.

What?  No Nickent or Maxfli!  Lynx and Snake Eyes are Golfsmith house bands.  I am sure Dick's and Golf Galaxy are offended by your survey!

I'd take titliest or mizuno for their products, but I'd probably take the best offer as I imagine most pros do. I am sure I could get by with tour van fitted sets, unlimited balls, new wedges every 3 months and free clothes in any brand if it really came to the crunch.

If you guys could build a "dream bag" of clubs right now, what would it include? For me its the following: - R11s 9 degree stiff - Adams black v3 hybrids 15 and 19 degrees - Taylormade TP MC custom fit irons - Three Vokey wedges 48, 54 and 60 - Scotty Cameron Monterey Custom shop All custom fit of course :) Atilda (sp?) shafts on the driver and hybrids. Dynamic gold shafts on the irons. Oh, and golf pride tour wrap 2g grips, the thickest ones they make (I have big hands). What are your dream clubs?

I rather like my set...but a couple changes.

- keep my current driver (Cobra S3)

- Replace my 5W 904f with a Ping G15/20 fairway wood

- I love my MP-14 irons, no change there

- Get rid of my Ping tour wedge, replace with 2 more 588's (60* and 51*) to go with my 54*

- Scotty newport to replace my Ping D66 iWi.

Driver - Cobra S3 9.5* - Mitsubishi Rayon JavlnFX M7
Fwy - Titleist 904F 18*
Irons - Mizuno MP-14
Wedges - Cleveland 588 54*, Ping Tour 58*
Putter - Ping D66 (iWi)

Not sure but I've been considering pulling the trigger for a set of ISI BeCu. Probably pair those up with some Rapture woods and hybrids. I tend to stick with matching wedges so would have to be a 4-9 w/PW GW SW LW. I like my current Ping G5i putter, cheap and effective for me but I may go look at some Scotty stuff in the near future. Not too exciting and yes I like the ugly stuff.

Dave :-)

Since I can't replace mine at this time I like most of what I, although I'd get a less forgiving set of Wilson Staff like the Ci11s and a Scotty Cameron putter.  I still like my driver and hybrids but I'd probably get some Vokey wedges to replace those that I have, although I like my Lynx (Golfsmith house brand along with MacGregor) wedges just fine for now.

I built my dream bag already. The only thing I need is a new titleist driver and 3 and 5 wood, which are coming in two weeks.

In the Ogio Kingpin bag:

Titleist 913 D2 9.5* w/ UST Mamiya ATTAS 3 80 w/ Harrison Shotmaker & Billy Bobs afternarket Hosel Adaptor (get this if you don't have it for your 913)
Wilson Staff Ci-11 4-GW (4I is out of the bag for a hybrid, PW and up were replaced by Edel Wedges)
TaylorMade RBZ 5 & 3 Fairway Woods

Cobra Baffler T-Rail 3 & 4 Hybrids

Edel Forged 48, 52, 56, 60, and 64* wedges (different wedges for different courses)

Seemore Si-4 Black Nickel Putter

    • Both @DaveP043 and I play in our interclub matches every year, and have been team Captains as well.  There are always a few courses, mine is one, that win a lot of matches (we've won twice in the last 7 years), and we've been labeled as sandbaggers.  However, I really think that our course was rated too low (our greens just never seemed to get factored in enough), and thus our Handicaps were always a stroke or maybe 2 above, what they would've been if the course was rated higher.  And then when we went and played other courses, their slope and rating were much higher than ours, and sometimes I would get a 2 or 3 stroke bump on top of that.  It was definitely an advantage.  However, this past year, our course was rated again and the slope has gone up, so we'll see if we continue to have the same benefit.  Season starts this Sunday for us.
