Key West has the most to offer when it comes to concentrated restaurants, activities and nightlife. If your objective is to just relax, take in a few sights, enjoy the water, eat & drink well then I'd spend most of my time there. The trip from mainland to Key West will take nearly all day with the speed limit zones (caution, do obey) and frequent stopping so try to get an early flight. Maybe pick a few places along the way beforehand that you want to visit then use any extra time for something that cathces your eye.

Thanks.  So we're booked to go.  Decided to do it the reverse direction, since the prices weren't that different. Flying directly to Key West, staying for 5 days, and then renting a car, driving up to Miami so we get to experience the drive, staying there one day and then flying home from there.  That should work out I hope.

I'll take any restaurant, activity or nightlife recommendations please!!!

You'll want to hit Mel Fisher's museum and Hemingway's house.  Mallory Square at sunset is mandatory and spend a relaxing hour or so on the Conch Train one afternoon.  You might also want to take a half-day fishing charter.

Check out Pepe's for breakfast.  One of the oldest places in Key West and they claim to have been open for breakfast every day for the last 35 years, or some such thing.  Sit outside.....

Beyond that, most "activities are  going to be centered around eating and drinking......on and adjacent to Duval Street.  Pace yourself, 5 days is a long time in that environment! ;-)

Have fun!

Avoid the Hemingway House if you are allergic to cats!  That is why I did not go in.

Sounds like some fun ideas. Definitely writing some of this down.  Thanks!

    • Day 364: About an hour and a half practice session. Spent most of it at the range. Did a solid 30 minutes of work on my priority piece, with filming. I think it's improving, but will probably check in on Evolvr to make sure. Then spent the last ~20 minutes putting, working mostly on short putts.

    • Day 79 (19 July 25) - Band rehearsal this morning - got home midafternoon, opted to work more with the magnetic alignment tool with the wedges.  Used it to work on face position at the bottom of the swing arc - followed up with easy pitches up to 50yds.  Seeing better face control and over improved accuracy toward target…session was cut short with pop up rain showers.
    • This is a great discussion. Other parts of the course where there are houses have white stakes and signs. This keeps people from trespassing and hitting shots on their property. There is another county road on the east side of the course that does not have white stakes like the hole I described. I checked the score card and there is nothing to indicate these roadways are OB. I think a county drainage ditch would be considered government right-of-way so it is the peoples land 🤣. But you are in the power industry and know more about those sorts of things than me.
