But expected to make a full recovery.

Quote:

Former PGA Tour player and current Golf Channel analyst Notah Begay III, 41, suffered a heart attack last week in Dallas, according to a report from the network.

Begay, who wrote an article on Tiger Woods in Golf Digest's May edition, reportedly suffers from a family history of heart disease, but is expected to make a full recovery. On Tuesday, he issued the following statement through Golf Channel:

"I'm extremely grateful for the expert care I received from Dr. Jenkins and his staff," Begay said. "I anticipate a full recovery and feel lucky to be at home resting with my family. I appreciate the outpouring of well wishes I've received from family, friends and fans and I will be back covering golf once I'm fully recovered."

Carpe the diem folks. Eat real food, eat veggies and fruit. Even only 1/2 hour of daily walking does wonders.

Steve

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Hope he does well. 41 is WAY to young to have to even think about stuff like that.

I had a friend die of a heart attack at the young age of 38..

yeah, my best friends dad AND grandfather both died at 34 from heart attacks.  needless to say he is being very careful.

Scary stuff. I hope he's okay. I don't think I realized he's three years older than Tiger. I remember that they were roommates, I didn't realize they were that far apart though.

Yeah, hope he gets well too but if he had considered  his genetic  history maybe he would have been more proactive. Advice on good diet and exercise is totally wasted if he only reads about it; and DOES nothing. Am also so sorry for those, who after 30 years of smoking, live on the bed due to emphysema or worse.   The 'good life' as explained to you by the consumer lobby of restaurants, grocers and food processors is probably a great lie.

Rant over.  Let's hope he does change his life and helps lead others to betterment.
