If you could have any pro's putting stroke, whose would it be?

I been practicing my putting all winter, and I been finding I cannot duplicate the smooth silky stroke of a Faxon or Stricker in a consistent manner.

I tried to  putt like Sneds or Woods with a hit or pop during my putting motion.

Results show  Im more consistent with this way of putting .

Im sure results will vary per individual.

What putting stroke on tour to you admire, or putt like?

Luke Donald, probably the best putter on tour for the past 4-5 years. Three years in a row he had the most strokes gained putting.

How extraordinary that you can't consistently duplicate the putting stroke of one the best putters in the history of the game! ;-)

I like the Badds' putting style - because he pulls the trigger as soon as he has the line.

People like Furyk are bad for the game because they make it (putting) look boring and unnatural.

The thing about putting, like other aspects of the game is that what people do and what they think they do are completely different things.

You have to find your own style and stick with it. Just don't freeze over the ball at address.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I like the way Schwartzel looks when addressing the ball with a putter. I can't say the same for Jeff Overton

If you had said green reading abilities, I'll probably go with any top 10 pro since they sink enough putts. I may not be a great green reader, but whatever wrong line I choose, my putting stroke is pretty solid at staying on it. So I'll stick with mine for now

He is Italian. So probably that's why his name sounds that way. haha

Brandt Snedeker.  Not many better putting practitioners in world golf.

Snedeker is interesting because I would putt like total crap if I tried to copy his style, but it works great for him.

I'm happy with my own. ;-)

If I could somehow putt very well and look like any pro's stroke while doing so, it'd be Michelle Wie. But I don't think I'd be very good putting that way, so I'd prefer it to be like Luke Donald if I had to pick one.

I think Luke Donald would be my ideal putting stroke. Just so smooth and clearly works for him!

I like Sneds and early Tiger strokes. The putts look like they were going in or 5 feet by I hate being passive and coming short or even decelerate into the stroke

The best putters in the world are all decelerating at or even slightly before impact with their putters…

That's news to me. Maybe that's why I'm such a bad putter. Where's the evidence for that? How about putting uphill on slow green. Still decel?
