When I actually get the chance to play/practice (all too rare lately), my main miss is a straight push. It's hard to call it a "miss" since it happens enough that I actually play with that shot in mind on the course.
A straight push at the moment, and when I try too hard to correct it, it becomes pull/draw, however, this is my own fault for improving my putting. Whenever I improve anything, something else diminishes.
Hello everyone, I've been away from the site for a year or so, but I'm really looking forward to the Ryder cup wkend! Think USA have a stronger team compared to previous years, however, I also think EU may have more in-form players at the moment, Stenson, Rose and McIlroy in particular. DJ, Spieth and Mickelson will be tough, along with Patrick reed. Im also looking forward to seeing how the rookies cope with the pressure, the Ryder cup is quite unique and not a format they're used to, anyway, may the best team win, I expect it to be really close and impossible to call.
It used to be a push slice, but after taking lessons it's now a pull hook, when I set-up aligned a bit too open, then over-rotate my upper body, realize it's about to happen, stop (the pull) and the hands take over (the hook). It can happen more than once in a round if I lose concentration...
I should also mention the occasional shank chip/pitch. Again, I know why and it's usually a poor set-up and lack of focus.
