Shot 95 yesterday on a course two weeks ago where I shot 107. I am very pleased with the progress and feel another significant step in my game coming on.
Was thrilled with a 44 on the front and naturally fell apart on the back with a 51. The heat started getting to me and I wasn't near as focused as I had been on the front. A triple on a long par 5 that included an OB penalty shot on my second didn't help at all.
Excited to play a new course today that I've wanted to play all spring.
The stronger static lofts on GI and SGI irons are because they launch higher. OEMs lower the static loft to get the optimum launch angle. Forget about the loft number and iron numbers and try out sets to determine which one you like the best. Focus only on distance and launch angles. You will most like find a set that matches the other clubs in your set. Since you have Ping, start there.
