Phil's really dishing it at Tiger right now. Wowee. This will be one of the first times Phil has knocked Tiger down if he continues. It's still early, but it's a five-shot lead on Tiger right now and three on Oberholser.

Screw Pittsburgh AND Erie NBC affiliates for not showing it.

Tiger birdies 16 and Phil k,nocks one in right on top of him. This might be the best live golf I have ever seen.

Definetely fun stuff to watch, I heard Phil is contemplating not playing next even though he'll be paired with Tiger the 1st two days at the BMW. Really goes to show you how little the fed ex means to alot of the players. The possibilty of a Phil/Tiger fed ex showdown is what makes these tournaments watchable for me.

Not since Oakmont...

I think his birdie putt (the miss) was a bigger deal. Relatively easy putt. Would have put him within one going to an easy par five.

i think the fact that its a 10 million dollar annuity and not cash is part of it. 10 mill cash is serious money for these guys, but an annuity is nothing.

That was the best short game action I have ever witnessed from 2 players in the same group.Damn if I could only have one of those shots I could be good.

Couldn't take my eyes off of it. Awesome stuff from both competitors. Being a lefty myself, I would love to have the mechanics Phil has. He makes it look so easy.

Was good to watch, i thought Tiger eagle putt on the 18th was on line to go in, just lacked the distance.

Tiger & Phil playoff would of been quite good to see!

it was quite good to see anyway. It was so much fun to watch 16th tee to 17th green. That was the best thing I've ever watched in golf.

It's good to finally see Phil take it to Tiger. Butch taught both of them how to control the momentum and the crowd. In the past Tiger would control the match to his advantage. This time Phil used it to take the control away from Tiger.

Great Golf with all 4 guys in contention with 4 holes left.

I had 6 of those on Monday myself....Now if only they have gone in...

You do realize that they get $10M now... and it accrues interest until they retire. So it's always going to be more than $10M that the guys actually get.

There was some confusion about that by a lot of people. Tiger could get as much as, oh $30M if he wins this year. Camilo could have gotten about $36M if he won it and retired at 45.

Well that was a whole lot of fun to watch. So often these types of showdowns fizzle and never reach the hype. Nice to see that kind of excitement. Also, as far as Tiger vs Phil it was nice to see Phil get the better of him (finally). I thought for a minute Phil was going to pull a well, Phil and fall apart but down the stretch he was solid. Phil putted really well. Not just the birdies but he made some sizeable par saves too. Pretty refreshing too hearing Phil talk about it meaning a little more because of who he was paired with. Honesty. Now... I fully expect Tiger to destroy the field next week!

It was refreshing to see Phil win, for a change, against Tiger. He made some incredible recovery shots and pressure putts. I'm happy for him.

What is the deal with him not playing???? Any word on why he's upset with the Commish?

Anyway, it was "primetime" golf and just shows that Tiger doesn't always win!

Usually the guy who takes only 23 putts over 18 holes will win. Good putting performance from Phil, and a weak-ish one from Tiger. The putt Tiger missed on 17 was key, again, I believe.
