I have an update on the "Los Angeles area Edel fitter" story. It turns out someone I spoke to this morning was recently fit for an Edel putter at Urban Golf on Sepulveda and had a good experience (including what sounded like a full fitting). I'm out of excuses and will check out Urban Golf L.A. first hand ASAP and will report back

Because inquiring minds want to know (about the torque balanced line):

With the "Devil" Headcover (Devil or Angel HC)

This pic shows good detail of the wings, dot, and spaceship-like outer rings of the E-1.

Can you say "pixl?"

The innards of the torque balanced line - 21g weight. I went for the weight kit.

That sure is purdy....

Thx.

It looks better than I thought it would. The white dot is a nice touch for the sweet spot.

At address, no distractions. It just turned out that way ... I aim that shape with confidence without lines.

I am working a red, black, and white color scheme on the bag :-$ ... so the "Devil" was a natural. But the stock graphite cover works well, too.

Thanks broseph!! That hosel...lol. I guess that's the one that fits my eye. Aesthetically, I prefer no lines for alignment, but clearly I couldn't get away with it. Besides the pixl, I went very understated with the details.

My son has the Rogue with similar sight lines.

Whatever works to take indecision out of aiming.

I have my fitting scheduled for Tuesday of next week and ever since making the appointment I've been excited. I can't imagine what I'll be like while it's in transit. When it arrives, I'll be sure to take it to @Golfingdad 's photo studio for posting here.

Very interested to hear how your fitting works out, especially with regard to the criteria that Erik posted.  How much did they quote you for the fitting?  Is the fitting with Matt Mora?
I have my fitting scheduled for Tuesday of next week and ever since making the appointment I've been excited. I can't imagine what I'll be like while it's in transit. When it arrives, I'll be sure to take it to [@=/u/36847/Golfingdad]@Golfingdad[/@]'s photo studio for posting here.
Very interested to hear how your fitting works out, especially with regard to the criteria that Erik posted.  How much did they quote you for the fitting?  Is the fitting with Matt Mora?

It is scheduled with Matt. As you (might) know, I had some misgivings about the place based on their website; a combination of talking to someone who I saw at Rancho Park who had an Edel (but wasn't affiliated) got me to contact them (he mentioned the attention he got when he was there and enough about the fitting process that I thought it was good), and a short discussion with Matt a few days later on the phone convinced me to set up an appointment. I'll let you know when I know. Edit Oh, price. I think he said $170. I'll update with that information when I see.

Please don't do that. We'd like to actually see your putter. :-)
