Butch has ruled out a return.

So my house is safe? ;-)

Unfortunately. Does that mean I have to give my house to you?

Nah I get Tiger's house.....but I probably can't afford the property taxes...oh wait Florida doesn't have taxes ;-)

Florida doesn't have state income taxes.

Normally I think things between other people, that I know nothing about, are none of my business...

But I can't help wishing I knew the whole back story in this case. ;-)

I think the two best swings on tour are McIlroy and Scott, neither are coached by Foley. Not that Foley's students aren't successful, they are. I think Tiger just thinks its time for a change. It's obvious that the Foley swing is not holding up for him right now. Maybe it's too hard on his back.

Adam Scotts swing looks remarkably simular to Tiger

Maybe Woods should get Holly Sonders, she's his type and certainly has had the experience playing lessons from the pros.. :-D

So are we taking bets on who coaches him next? Or should we start a new thread for that.

Mine's back a couple of pages. Put me down for none of Paddy Power's picks.

Trust me. Florida has taxes. I'm reminded every time I buy anything.

My son lives in Tennessee (a no income tax state) and pays more in total taxes than I do.

I can't wait for Foley's book....

You're going to be waiting for a long time.

Yep, I saw. I'd have to agree.

New thread.

Man, that sounds like a lot of work.. hehe.

Of course, now that I think about it, it's very possibly going to be someone the general golfing public isn't all that familiar with.

And just to keep my post nearer to the actual topic, I guess I don't really know enough about what they were working on to have an opinion. But I can venture to guess that Tiger thought four years was a long enough leash to see results in majors, regardless of any injuries or personal life issues that were also going on.

Also, does anyone think it may have been a slight dig at Tiger when Foley said that (paraphrasing) working with Tiger was "one of the highlights of my career." Shouldn't he have said " the highlight?" I know one could argue that Rose winning the US Open was the ultimate highlight, but you'd think getting to work with Tiger exclusively would be tops. Maybe I'm grasping at straws here haha. :-D

    • I have a putting mat in my office. It's 9 feet long almost 4 feet wide. I've drawn a line down it in order to practice hitting my line and stuff. Works fine for what it is.  While I'm not a fan of lining up a line on my golfball for every putt. I think for practice sessions it can have a lot of value.  To me this product makes sense. This is the first time I've seen it. It showed up as an add on the right side of the TST webpage. What do you all think? PuttAIM Laser Training Aid Get ready to dominate the greens like never before. PuttAIM Golf is a golf putting aid that uses laser technology to help you improve your game. This device works to ensure your putts are aligned properly and on track...
    • Of course. I've used different words to start, but like 90-95% of the time it's been this one. And I'm unlikely to switch now.

    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
