Natalie made nine pars. I almost matched that. 😉

Back Nine was super windy and I didn't adjust well. Really fell apart the last three holes. All in all I am hitting the ball pretty well (new longest drive today!), and I am headed the right direction with my game. Slowly but surely.

Played Whispering Woods with @iacas giving a playing lesson. Front 9 is a bit of a vanity score as I hit multiple shots. Back 9 was actual golf.

Shot of the day was the 7i approach on 13, because for some reason I hit better shots when there are actual obstacles to navigate, like trees to hit big hooks around.

My last two rounds (Saturday & Tuesday), played 9 each day.  It's been a struggle getting out to golf the past 2 years, I think I only played 12 times last year.  But this year the wife and I decided to join a course that is closer to us, which has allowed us to get out and practice a lot more the last two months.  Now just need to get back into golf shape and take what I have been working on to the course, I'm hoping to play a lot more this year.

So, shot a 117, 17 strokes better than my opening round last Saturday.  Still working on getting my swing back but felt that I had improved a bit (except for the occasional topped shot).  Driver still a mess except for 1 drive today.  Penalty shots still an issue.  But, seeing progress.  I think a few more range sessions would do a world of good before going back out there.

Played Cranberry Highlands with @iacas. Still have work to do. Shot selection is suspect at times, but mostly troubled today by randomly topped drives.

Played 9 holes in my work league. The first three holes were a bit of a mess because there is no range and I usually just go off cold.

Once I got a feel for the swing I started to play better. Overall, I think my downswing pieces coming along.

4 Straight rounds under 100 feels nice. Should have score better today, but my swing is coming along so I just got to keep working. Putting was just awful today though.

Saturday's round, very windy and extremely wet from all of the rain.

Only good things about this round is that it reminded me that I am someone that has to loosen up on the range before I play, I need to dedicate some time to my short game, and I need to figure out the proper grip position.

It feels (I know, not real) that with my irons my wrists over rotate and I over draw, and with my woods they don't rotate enough and everything fades, there's got to be a middle ground somewhere.  Is this a grip thing, or mental?  Is it uncommon to have a weaker grip with irons and a stronger one with woods?

Played 9 holes after work. It was windy but the greens were firm and rolling nicely. Course was in pretty good shape.

Hit the ball solidly for the most part, but a lot of shots started left of my intended line. Starting to heel the ball a bit and it closes the face on me, I'm assuming. Hit a tree on 4 and lost the ball which is a shame because that drive was crushed, I just don't hit the ball high enough to carry the trees on the line I took. Kind of made up for it with a ridiculously good punch hook 7i later on the hole (I don't know why I do those so well). Short game was pretty good, not perfect, but pleased with the results. Putt very well today. Made a bunch of mid-range putts.

Just a bad round. Hooking the driver. Hitting week pushy irons. Scared to hit pitches with any speed. Struggling with distance control on my putts.

Struck the ball way better, just way too many blow up holes.

3 doubles, otherwise a really good round. And, really, +7 when playing from 7200 yards... I'll take it.

Played a lot better today, even though there was a 2-3 club wind, it was brutal at times.

Birdied 3 of 4 par 5's, don't think i have ever done that before.  Weakness is still my wedges, need a lot of practice 110 and in.

Course was soaked which led to a few chunked wedges and 0 roll off the tee. Had a 20+ mph wind the entire round too.

Happy with most of my driver distances though because they were almost all pure carry, most balls were embedding.

    • Wordle 1,013 4/6* ⬛🟦🟦⬛⬛ ⬛🟦⬛🟦🟦 🟧⬛🟧🟧🟧 🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧 par is good after a double bogey yesterday.
    • I did read the fine print tonight. It said replace with “similar features & function”.  8 yeas ago my purchase had features that today are available on the lower end models and the current version of my model has more “bells & whistles” than what I got 8 years ago.  So I am thinking they honored the agreement and I can’t argue the offer. since getting a credit for the full purchase price all I am really out over the past 8 years was the cost of the extended warranty, which was less than a low end  treadmill would have cost me. now the question is which model to replace with.  I’ll stay with Nordic Track or I forfeit the $1,463 credit so I will get Nordic Track.  And they honored the warranty and were not hard to work with which is a plus.
    • Generally speaking, extended warranties are a terrible deal and should almost always be avoided. They are a huge profit center for the companies that offer them, which should tell you almost everything you need to know about how much value most consumers get when purchasing them.  This is correct, and the old adage applies - only buy insurance when you can't afford the loss. This usually doesn't apply to most consumer goods.  To your second question, no I don't believe the offer is fair. They are replacing it, but it is not being replaced at "no cost to you". Since the amount being disputed (over $500) is non-trivial, I would probably push the issue. Don't waste your time on the phone with a customer service agent or a supervisor. They have probably given you all they have the authority to do. Rather, I would look at the terms of your agreement and specifically legal disputes. The odds are you probably agreed to binding arbitration in the event of a dispute. The agreement will outline what steps need to be followed, but it will probably look something like this.  1. Mail the Nordic Track legal department outlining your dispute and indicate you are not satisfied with the resolution offered.  2. Open up a case with the AAA (American Arbitration Association), along with the required documentation. 3. Wait about 4-5 weeks for a case to be opened - at which point someone from Nordic Track's legal department will offer to give you the new model at no cost to you.  They certainly don't want to spend the time and energy to fight you over $500. 4. Enjoy your new Nordic Track at no cost to you. I recently entered binding arbitration against a fairly large and well known company that screwed me over and refused to make it right. In my demand letter, I made a pretty sizeable request that included compensation for my time and frustration. Once it hit their legal department, they cut me a check - no questions asked. It was far cheaper to settle with me than to send their legal team to defend them in the arbitration.
    • I never thought of looking at it on multiple purchases like you said.  Yes, the extended may help me on 1 or 2 items but not the other 5 or 6.
    • Day 84 - Forgot to post yesterday, but I did some more chipping/pitching.    Back/neck were feeling better today, so I did a much overdue Stack session.
