No mention of what happened to Allenby, nor how Harbison came to possess Allenby's ID and credit cards.

So many of the greatest hits storylines of the year are getting updates today, it seems. I'm half expecting it to all converge at a singularity soon with a story that Robert Allenby woke up from his daze alongside Tiger Woods and Amanda Dufner.

...and that Phil Mickelson was gambling and insider trading with his money!

Middlemo now says he believes Allenby simply fell over and injured his face after drinking too much wine and tequila and not eating enough food.

“Do I think he got mugged and bashed and absolutely robbed? No I don’t. That’s the story I told because that’s the story he told me to tell because I wasn’t there,” Middlemo told News Corp Australia.

“Do I think he just fell over and cracked his head? Honestly I do … I think he fell over and someone picked up his wallet and had a great time with his credit card.”

Not a whole lot in writing yet since it's a breaking story, but Golf Channel is reporting that Robert Allenby was kidnapped from a bar, beaten up, and robbed after missing the cut at the Sony Open. He was dropped 6 miles from the bar. Here's a picture Jason Sobel tweeted out: EDIT: Story from Golf Channel: http://www.golfchannel.com/news/golf-central-blog/allenby-kidnapped-bar-and-beaten-robbed/

probaby pissed off a moke in Hawaii....right now I'm not too sympathetic for his experience.

I never believed the whole kidnap story in Hawaii anyway, Allenby just regularly comes off as a real idiot.

Those marks on his face are far more in line with someone falling vs someone who was beat up.

That's what I concluded, too. People who get beat up generally have multiple injuries. Allenby looks like he got smacked my something that hit his nose and forehead while simultaneously getting scratched by it. Puffy/black eyes can be explained by the nose injury, but that scratch looks more like a concrete scrape than some kind of facial laceration from being punched.
