I like how you strategically omit the word "maybe" from my quotes.

Anyway, whether Jason is a freak or not is of little consequence. What matters most is that he has to go before that magistrate, as the defendant, and DEFEND himself. He alone will be standing there having to explain why after three years of marriage he is the one allegedly leading a secret life in various cities with multiple apartments he calls “stabbin’ cabins.” Everyone wants to point the finger at Amanda because of one single fact - she looks good in a two piece. Although I must say, Gemma Atkinson looks better. I think once the curtain is pulled back, we’ll see the REAL Jason. From what I understand she wanted children, a home and good life. I hope he finds peace one day, settles down and gets control of himself and his actions.

Everything besides "Gemma Atkinson looks better" is incorrect or unsupported by fact

I do not know the intricate laws with divorces, but I find it hard to believe that if Jason cheated on her or did something as described above that Amanda would settle for 2.5 million. I appreciate the Jerky Boys recognition....kudos.

Not a problem - the timing of a jerky boy reference is key. You nailed it. I might have to indulge later on.

Um, Fergie, typically, the defendant does not ever appear before the judge in an uncontested divorce matter.

Are you a USA citizen or from the UK or...?

He doesn't have to do anything you claim he answers the petition through his attorney who makes the appearance for him and can agree that the marriage is irreconcilable or request counseling, typically for a limited time period, and after the settlement is agreed, sign the settlement.

You've watched too much of the telly.

The words you use remind me of a late night show featuring Brits on a PBS station...

Let's hope this is the end of this thread ... as you're just attempting to rattle everyone's chains now.

With all due respect my dear Mr. Desmond, I went through a divorce. I know the process firsthand. Yes, I spent some time in England, thanks for noticing. By the way, a woman with a British accent - very attractive (see my reference to Gem Atkinson). Anyway, I am trying to paint a picture and make my argument to a VERY, VERY tough crowd here. This board is full of people possessing a wide breadth of knowledge that has no equal in the contiguous states of America, and you’re here trying to point out the incidental decorum of jurisprudence in regard to marital disbanding. The point I'm trying to make: I think some of you feel it’s farfetched for Jason to be the problem in this marriage. It takes two to tango, my friends. Now I’m sure her photos might send a message to certain people creating how I shall say - an indelible impression. But when you think about it, she basically demonstrated her personality online and left nothing to hide. If you see her pics, the natural reaction is to think, she’s a floosy. I’m standing by my thought that Jason posted those pics, “look at my wife – she’s hot. I slapped her butt on live TV.” She got sick of the ill treatment and left. My finger is pointing in the direction of Jason. He has made no statements and had no reaction. His silence in this matter is very suspect.

What is he going to do, come whine on our forum? He owes no one an explanation. Want my take? She was talking about leaving for a while and blamed him for being him. He was upset about his marriage ending and tried over the last few months of it, to keep her happy by going on vacations. As time went on things deteriorated and the stress of losing his wife and being the center of attention for failure has caused him to lose his desire to eat properly. The divorce was unavoidable and she filed no matter what he did in hopes to repair it.

He probably still loves her, would not say anything bad about her now and probably didn't want the divorce so he did not file, even if there were detrimental behaviors.

Just my two cents.

"My ball is on top of a rock in the hazard, do I get some sort of relief?"

Ferguson, I don't think Amanda has said much, if anything, about the divorce, and neither has Jason. There's nothing suspect accept in your mind. It is typical for people, if they are getting good counsel, to remain silent about a difficult situation. Your argument is based on a hypothetical, speculation and/or suspicion, not facts. And apparently, you do not understand the good old southern boy. We pat our wife's tush as a sign of affection.

Amen (re: patting behinds, I do it to my kids too although that has to stop soon with my daughter given that she's 15 and 4 inches taller than me, looks a bit odd to others.)

I was referencing the fact that Jason made no public statements. The only public statement he made was looking like a misogynist. I'm a New Yorker and you don’t slap your wife’s bum on live TV. To my knowledge, no other professional golfer has ever done anything that. That was awful. I read somewhere Amanda was Shamanistic, so there was no love in this marriage, at least not for a while.

I never heard anything about Shamanism, but even if it's true, how do you infer that there was no love in the marriage from that?
