So basically this works for me. Fox works on IE on Win 8. USGA better on Safari on OS X.

Norman's ok so far, not saying anything out of left field or talking about himself. Nice hearing someone other than Faldo or Miller. Hearing them for too long.

I'd like at my take of the event from a spectators point of view. I'm between a 9-12 index depending.... and play about 100 rounds a year. I've been in person to about 15 PGA events. I have never b

Spent yesterday at Chambers Bay. What a fantastic course, just stunning to behold and looks like so much fun to play. I will have to play it in a season or two when I'm ready. I have to say that there

Well, it's been ages since I posted here, former writer at TST. I spent the Tuesday practice round and Thursday at Chambers Bay. It is expansive. Beautiful views of the sound and a golf course that lo

Looking at pace of play, the morning guys look to be heading around at least a 5 hour round...probably a bit more. Rory's on his 9th hole of the day and teed off just over 2.5 hours ago. Phil's played 3.5 hours so far and is on 12. That's not great for the morning wave. The afternoon groups usually finish 20-30 minutes later because the course plays tougher and you tend to get a few more backups. I don't think we'll a 6-hour round, but I think they could get close. Tiger may be finishing right at 11pm tonight. EDT.

Patrick Reed sucks.

He's making me very angry.

Colt Hammer's bunker shot was gorgeous, almost identical to Rory's except Hammer's rolled to like 4 inches and Rory's to 4 feet.

Joe Buck just called Chambers Bay a links course about an hour after Tom Weiskoph did a segment on how it's not a links course.

There was an article on Buck the other day that I read and he admitted his golf knowledge is not spectacular. He's kinda learning as he goes. At least he's honest. I remember when Musberger did it with ABC at first and he admitted the same thing.

    • The instructor who initially built my swing works at the only indoor range in my city, so I started seeing him by default. I kept seeing him because of his analytical approach, the convenience of his schedule and proximity, and his reasonable rates. When I was looking at new instructors, my choice was based on his instructional philosophy (which is more, but not entirely, feel-based than the previous instructor) and reviews on Yelp. I must say that even if his technique is not fit for me, I did feel like I left with a much more of concrete lesson thanks to his teaching style.
    • Really? Those two are fairly different. How are you vetting the instructor(s) you're choosing?
    • Yes, that’s my “former” swing. I felt way too close to the ball with the new swing, and was coming drastically out-to-in. (For what it’s worth, my previous instructor built my “former” swing on a template of Rahm and JT.)
    • That's… very close to the ball. Like Tiger level close, Finau level close. In the bottom photo, I like the swing on the left more. Is that the "former" swing?
    • Reverse Texas scramble... hell.  Golf messes up your head.
