I know that when I remind myself to tilt slightly away from the target I have better ball striking. I make sure (I'm left handed) that I TILT and not extend my left shoulder out as if shaking hands.

Hmm.  Rayong, Thailand.  Isn't that next to Pattaya, the 'R&R;' capital of T'land.

This bloke's on the sauce way too early in the day.

    • I bought a driver head that was in a box, not possible to be damaged in transit unless it was crushed flat. I sent the seller a photo showing the dent, I’m obviously amazed eBay in my case didn’t investigate the claim. All correspondence with the seller is by the eBay “eBay” app, so they have access to what was written between us. Buying a callaway epic driver in NZ costs a $1000nz so to buy one for a third of that I expected scratch and marks on it, I don’t expect dents and dishonest description for a jerk...
    • Is it Laphroaigh Quarter Cask that you have because it has more smokiness and oakiness than the 10 y.o. for example. Talisker Storm would be the smokiest of the Skye whiskies (affordable price). With its notes of Chili pepper and seasalt I would expect your whisky would certainly come from the Islands. I love Ardbeg 10 y.o., with its vanilla and lime and lemon notes backed up by the strong bourbon oak taste. Its my brothers favourite. Suggestion... add a dash of water, a thimble full, and swish it for at least 10 seconds until the notes come through.
    • True. My point - which some seem not to get because I may have phrased it poorly - is that the "milestone" might not be a milestone at all. There are golfers who could break 80 at the Old Course in benign conditions but would not break 100 at Oakmont or Bethpage Black in average conditions. For me it all comes back to the beginner attitude of "I shot 78 which makes me almost as good as a pro because I saw that someone famous shot 76 yesterday." When I was in my teens I was a member of by far the hardest course in the district - one of the best courses in Australia - and we had an annual 36 hole tournament where guys off single figures would come and talk about how crap they played because they didn't break 90 in either round. They just couldn't handle a tough course with the opportunity of losing a ball on your first and second shot on all but about two holes.
