The new Colonel Sanders is a joke. I actually mentioned this to someone the other day. I'm not sure fast food works like talk radio, where people are willing listen to personalities that they dislike. If people don't like the new Colonel, I don't think that "hate" is going to increase sales.

He seems to be a mix of goofy and creepy. I'm not a fan.

So much so that I immediately change the channel when the ads come on.  I don't care what channel I'm changing to, as long as I don't have to watch the ad.

The original recipe chicken is exactly the same as he used to make. Can't speak to anything else though.

Maybe the new one won't be as pedophile-y as Darrell Hammond's Colonel persona.  He creeped me out big time.

I just read a news article about the changeover.  KFC basically said that they didn't care whether people saw the character negatively or positively - either way it was creating talk about the brand and that was what they were really after.

Well, I was excited about the new new Colonel, and I really love Norm's comedy (his bit a few years ago about Tiger Woods was some of the best commentary I'd heard about the man), but now I can't get this irony out of my head. Thanks :-P
