The equation for Jordan and Jason is simple: birdie, and it's a playoff.

I suppose it's the smart play to go down the 2nd fairway because it minimizes the chances for a double bogey, but I can't help but think he makes a par if he goes for the 17th fairway.

Yeah but from like 120 feet lol. When was the last British Open playoff? Watson-Cink correct?

I think it was technically a 3 putt, but he putted off the green on 8. Had a GIR and made a double bogey.

Or a birdie from the Valley of Sin :-P. He's in Retief Goosen mode there.

Wow, Spieth got lucky that he hit that tee shot on 18 as opposed to anywhere else on the course.

Spieth will be able to put spin on his approach. He won't have to challenge the Valley of Sin like Day might.

    • Eh, I'm gonna take the opposite angle on that one, and suggest that Tom Kim has been the only thing giving the event any juice from the International side of things.
    • Continuing to show his immaturity....going back to the playoffs where he damaged the green when he slammed his putter into it.   And just from yesterday, yelling at a players back when SS was getting ready to putt, and then walking off the green to the next tee box 60 yards away before US team putted.    I know him and SS are good buds but still.    Also not helping that he's blaming the Canadian fans for the International teams' poor performance thus far. I know he is young but he needs to grow up.
