It was exhilarating.   I played 17 of the holes like crap, but I went home happy because I eagled the 9th hole.  Driver, 5-wood, 10 foot putt.   I don't care about the other 17 holes, that one hole made my day.

It's that one hole that makes your day! Congratulations!

I keep missing my eagle putts. :-P

What was the distance on that green from where you teed off?

Why does that matter?

Whatever the distance, that's pretty awesome.

Bailed after the first hole with 30F temperatures, because I just didn't feel like carrying my clubs on the slippery ice covered fairways. . .

It was my last of 2015.  But I'm going to Palm Springs for a week in January, so my swing won't get too rusty

Good (for me) ball striking but 42 putts.

Putting is really hard these days***.

***I also found myself with 42 putts on one particular round for a score of 89 (not my worst round this last two months).

If you have some time for the plebs in this area, PM us and maybe some of us less good golfers can join in a round or just to meet with you?

I'll be in touch.  We're staying with a friend at his second home, at the Trinity course, I think its called the Golf Club at La Quinta.  He'll get the cards for "local" rates, and make most of the golf plans.  We have four couples, and only two of the wives play, so we'll almost certainly have room for an additional player or two at times.  I'll start a post in the Golf Destinations area to avoid hijacking this thread.
