I've played both low and higher compression balls. Low compression balls Wilson Duo Soft, Callaway Supersoft, Maxfli Softfli. Higher compression balls TP5x, ProV1x, MTBx, Cut Blue, Vice Pro Plus.
I didn't really notice any significant performance difference, however I like the feel of the Snell MTBx balls the most, so that's what I play most often now.
Thanks for the responses. Yes, the Eye2s can be purchased at a good price on eBay. Several of my friends play the i3+ and love them. One of them played some of the newer Pings and went back to i3+. Since neither club set will break the bank will see how I get on for the rest of the year with the i3+s as can always revert to the Eye 2s. Will share feedback on my experience. Thanks
I am exactly like you and I am taking weekly lessons. It was very 3ducational to get fitted. They can tell you what length and grip size you need regardless of your swing accuracy. That will help you. Go for it
I'm on the fence on this one. I like the idea of hearing Tiger/Phil/etc. advising how to play a shot, etc. but other than that it is a game show. I liked The Big Break but that was not hackers and part of it was hoping to see someone go from obscure person to potentially a big-name pro. I can watch hackers any day at any course. Please understand, that if I were selected to play I would be 100% on board.
Yesterday I hit a beautiful sand wedge into a par 5 and it is obvious that it will be stiff for a birdie. But it bounces a foot from the hole, hits the pin, bouncing 12 feet away. I miss the putt, make par and half the hole. Very next hole, my opponent and I are both about 15 yards short of the green. I hit a great pitch to five feet. My opponent totally bones his pitch and it's headed off the back of the green. But it bounces once and flies in the cup for a birdie. My putt doesn't even matter now. I hate when that happens.
Anyone else got one?
