I’m not understanding.
Certainly you’re not saying that if a course has a par five that is under 450 yards from the senior tees, that the seniors playing those tees will have to consider that to be a par-4 for the net bogey calculation?
It is not surprising if you did well with a 70g early generation White Board, as that is a classic shaft combination that has ended up in a lot of winner's bags.
The earlier versions of the Diamana White board such as the Ahina, White Board or D+ plus are surprisingly good for 70g shafts.
They are not as boardy feeling as the newer white shafts, but are very stable and tip stiff in the 70g weight.
For those who deem the experience worth the cost, more power to you and I sincerely hope you get to go and hope you enjoy every minute of it.
My inner tightwad will never let me fork over that kind of money for a single round of golf. Not there, not anywhere. For what that would cost I can play a seasons worth of golf on my local course and I'd certainly prefer spending my money that way.
I believe I would.
Which is why I might never play Pebble Beach. I likely won't ever deem it worth the cost, so I will probably never play it. Because had I forked over > $550, I'd probably regret it.
Meh. I'm simply not enamored with the place. If they did a renovation… then maybe we're talking.
