I wondered what the secret was to a single digit handicap!

Actually, I used to have two separate GHIN #'s. I had one for drunk golf, and another for sober golf.

It didn't seem to make a difference. The index numbers were always within 0.5 of each other.

Now I just drink every damn round- no need for two GHIN #'S.

*Also, if you're going to play drunk, you should get smashed while practicing on the range.

I will bring powder Gatorade I will buy the first one and then refill with water and maybe some powered gatorade. :offtopic: I am alway amused, by the folks that claim to drink a lot during a round and some even pride themselves on following rules, etc ... but do not think twice of getting behind the wheel legally drunk ...

Of course, I drive home completely smashed after a round of golf. But I'm behind the wheel of my golf cart. (I live across the street from the course).

I find ignoring them works better.

Thats why the cart girls or the young ladies behind the bar are always willing to drive me home.

As a bev cart girl and a bartender at a golf course I highly recommend NOT bringing your own alcohol. It puts us at a personal risk ifΒ an accident happens and it puts the course at risk of getting fined or losing our liquor license. Also it’s extremely rude and disrespectful. If you can’t afford to buy beers from us then don’t drink at the course . If we get get caught not confiscating outside liquor we won’t get scheduled so even just tipping doesn’t cut it.Β

I had to vote β€œYes” because I have done it. Β It is a faints most course rules and I know I am breaking that rule. Β When I do itΒ I do not stock my bag with s six pack, usually 1 or 2 beers.

i do not do it all of the time and will buy from the cart, if it comes buy.

I bring a cooler every time. Most of the time I buyΒ beer from the club and replenish with my own when needed. My F&B Β bill each month is a fair amount so the club is better off when I am there.Β

I almost never drink alcohol while I play but typically do bring a few bottles of water or seltzer and some food to eat but that's more because I'm pretty meticulous about my diet and don't feel like figuring out how many calories are in the food that may be available.Β Β

If it's the typical food at the turn it's fried this, burger that, etc.Β  You can stop counting calories after 500...

A few years ago I played in a group of pretty good golfers.Β  If, at the turn, they ordered the huge Polish sausage sandwiches, I knew IΒ had 'em on the back nine.Β  Poor guys just became lethargic.Β  Myself, I would just have an energy bar and some Italian Sports Drink to stay lean & mean.

I voted for the first option. I don't consume alcohol while I play golf, but I bring my own snacks and hydration (usually just a water bottle). I'm not going to pay for overpriced soft drinks and generally unhealthy garbage food sold on on the premises of my home course.

Sometimes I enjoy a cold beer right after my round, if I have time to stick around and watch some sports in the restaurant/bar, but it's all closed right now, so not even an option.
