-1 under for the day. it could've been -3 BUT I bogied 1 hole I ALWAYS bogey no matter what I do off of the box..and bogied the 16 trying to play conservatively with the 17th being an easy par 4 scoring hole that's driveable and a pretty good 18th that I play at par....
At least I've broken par twice in the past 2 weeks!

Shot a 90 at Rogers Park in Tampa. Course was in terrific shape....great greens. Played for $10 with some of my golf buddies.

Chipped in from 15 yards off the green for a Birdie.........and putted in from 2 feet off green for a Par....Lost 3 balls....that's what hurt my score......3 penalties.....Yikes!

Even par 36 last night. I WAS 3 under standing in the middle of the fairway on #7 which is an easy par 5. 227 out and have my 3 hybrid in my hand. I figured this was going to be a 32 or even 31 with two birdie-able par 4s to end. Hit the worst shot I have hit all summer with the hybrid...pushed it right...hits a tree next to the green and bounces OB. I make 7. Pissed on the next hole...3 putt from 20 feet and par the last for a 36. Oh what could have been.

I played my 9-hole par 3 course yesterday. It was the first time I got to play golf in the summer since 2008. I missed 2009 (april to november) with a back injury. I missed all of June and most of July with an abdominal injury. I'm very injury prone I guess.

Anyway, I played pretty well. I shot a +7 which is just one stroke worse than my career low on this par-3 course. I got all 9 tee shots airborne and in the general direction of the hole. One went OB, but just barely, and it was really an alignment problem there more than anything else.

It was hot out, so my distances were great. I was hitting my 6-iron about 165 or so, which ain't too shabby for me.

I still have a lot of scar tissue so my movement isn't at 100%, but all in all, it was a very positive first round back. If I can manage to stay healthy, I'm going to give my driver its due practice at the range. I feel as if its the only club holding me back from going to play at a full length course.

Then, my plan is to play 18 holes, something I have not done since April of 2009. It's been a while. If you're reading this, consider yourself very lucky that your body allows you to play! It's really a blessing.

I shot a 95 from the blues at my home course, but in a blistering heat. Not to mention a Sh$$$ swing, but I had to play with what I had. i had to put the driver away and hit a 4 iron on most holes. Over all I tried to keep a good mental attitude.

Shot a 94 at the Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, CA. My goal was to break 90 today but par 3's are my worst nightmare right now.....I tripled three of them and doubled the other one Not sure what's going on, just need to settle down and swing the club I guess.

85 at my home course. My first good showing in a home tournament. Worth a 13.9 differential on my score, and a likely handicap adjustment for Thursday's away tournament. =)

82 (43 & 39) at 70.8/131 rated course. Could not make a putt to save my life today. Had about 8 putts within 5 feet and made only one of those. Now I know how Tiger feels...

    • LIV moving to 72 holes is a subtle admission that 54 holes was nothing but a joke all along.
    • I was going to start a thread, but this seems like the place.  Yesterday I played my matchplay match at my local club.  My opponent is a notorious sandbagger by reputation.  The pro once pulled his tournament rounds from the past several years and said that it is impossible his tournament rounds are legit based on his handicap. here is what happened last night.  I am getting 4 shots from him.  His current handicap index is 15.3 i shot 45 on the front.   Was down 4 after nine, he had three birdies and shot even par. I was closed out on thirteen, we halved with a bogey.  That bogey put him one over par for his round.   He then took a triple on 14 and then left. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he lied about his score.   I wrote down on my scorecard what the score was.  He put higher values that didn’t affect the outcome of the match to pad his score and apparently make it not look as obvious.   He shot 36 on the front, but claimed 40.  The higher values for his score were in the online scoring app our club uses.  He did it this way: I won #7. He had a 2 foot putt for par that if he made would still lose the hole.   He picked up and said it didn’t matter since I won.  He took a 5 instead of a 4 after picking up a gimme. on #8 his approach shot on this par 4 was 8 inches.  I verbally conceded the putt but I had hit into a hazard.  I finished the hole with a 6.  Instead of birdie he put in for par. on #9, another par 4, his approach was to 18 inches.  I missed my par putt and then knowing how close I verbally conceded the putt.  I missed my bogey putt, he never conceded mine.  Instead of birdie he put down a bogey. He padded his score by 4 shots on the front.  And then did again on 10.  I rinsed one and made 6 on a par 4.  I putted out and he was fishing balls out of the lake so I drove off to the next tee.  He had 15 feet laying two but claimed a 5.     love to know the odds of a 15 handicap being even thru 12 holes on a round of golf.
