Personal best of 98 today. I know that's not too great, but a good start for my summer goal.  I hope to shoot a 90 before football season hits.

Also, today is the first time I ever played an entire round by the book.  It hurt me when I posted an 11 on a par four due to a shanked tee shot and two topped balls into water, but I'm happy to play by the rules.

I played 63 holes this weekend (89-39-83-89).  Flirted with breaking 80 on Sunday but hit a drive OB on 16.  Still managed to beat my lowest (gross) score by 1.

Had another rollercoaster round.  Shot +7 79.  Started with five consecutive 4's then triple bogeyed, double bogeyed, birdie, par for a front +4 40.  Then on the back I made eagle with a couple more bogeys and par

Just one of those days where you wish you could eliminate the big mistakes and make a personal low.  But thats golf

41 + 44 = 85 on Monday.  6890 yds.  71.7/131 course rating.

Missed 8 or 9 putts inside 10 feet!  Could've, should've, would've...

47 on the front nine... Personal best is 42.  Had a quad bogey because of the water and sand.  Gotta start limiting the mistakes and begin to string together some good holes on a regular basis.  Missed 3 birdie puts from the 10-12 foot range.  That can't happen.

yesterday was my first time out... ever. shot a 51 on the back 9 at Juniata in Northeast Philly (decent course for learning the game I'd say). lots of double/triple bogey's, 2 & 3 putts... I went and practiced my short game later that day at the local pitch n putt... :)

I had a great weekend in Palm Springs with the wife and friends.  Happy to say I was able to escape laying around like a corpse at the pool on Saturday - and get 36 holes of golf in.  The Westin at Mission Hills has two courses managed by Troon.  I played the Pete Dye course twice from the tips, and it was sweet. Really good deal in my opinion... $70 for the first round and $45 for the replay.

The green complexes were very challenging with a lot of undjulation.  You really needed to know where to land the ball - and where not to score... I attribute the knowledge I gained on my first round to my improved 2nd round score.  Overall, the course was in immaculate condition... Both the fairways and greens were near perfect condition.  The bunkers were a little sketchy in some areas - like they needed maintence to simply rake them.  This was a little strange given we were the 2nd group out in the morning... And then played again right after lunch.  And it didn't look like they did anything to any of the bunkers.  And I'm unaware of any inclement weather to cause them to be 'erroded' as they were in a few instances.

I'm guessing the greens were running 11 on the stimp?  Rolling the rock was fun on these babies as they were so smooth and the holes were cut perfectly with a nice crisp edge all the way around the cup.  In fact, I don't think I've ever seen holes cut that well.  Troon did a nice job of having the greens in tip top shape - considering the heat those puppies face in the late spring / early summmer.

My scores... 81 / 76 on a par 70 with a 72.2 / 131.  I swear, if I could figure out my low point for both my driver and my irons - it would go a long way in lowering my scores.  I still see wasted shots even with the way I'm playing now.  My ball striking is my biggest fault at the moment.

Personal best today of 34 on a par 35.  Had two eagle putts from inside 40 feet sunk one missed the other by an inch.  Had 2 bogies that were because of very poor chip shots.

Thursday, I shot a 98 (second time under 100), Friday, I shot a 96 and yesterday, I shot a 93.   My goal for the year is to shoot consistently in the 90's (only been playing the game since last October).   If this trend continues, I will be hoping to be in the 80's by year's end....

You and I are cut from the same cloth; however, you shot better than me.  Went for my second time and shot a 106.  I was pretty happy with it, but I am still playing out of bound balls.

My best round to date.  I'm excited, however if this happens often I think for this course I need to move back a tee box.  I usually just hit the tee box that the person I get paired up with hits.

75, black tees, Whispering Woods. Great birdie on 8. Just trying to "play golf" and find a swing thought, tournament Friday.

Swing is looking REALLY good, just have to find out how to scrape it around now. :)
