Shot 91 at a par 73 course. Fairways were overgrown and the greens were aerated. Had one 4-putt and a quite a few 3-putts. Couldn't buy a putt today.

77 with an eagle on a par 5. two on and one putt. putt was only 7 feet too. not to many mistakes with the driver. 3 wood was crazy good. but my short game was a little off today.

84 today in first club outing. Was hitting the ball well, but couldn't get into rhythm putting on aerated greens. Only hit 4 FW's, but majority of misses were only off by a few yards. 4 GIR, 34 putts.

Started off strong parring the first 4 holes, then just lost touch on the bumpy greens. Oh well, not too bad I guess.

Played a couple of rounds so here they are.

Par 70, shot a 81.  Drove the ball terrible, only hit four greens but got up and down 7 times.  One big number.  Putter was working great.  29 putts, no three putts.  Probably the best round I've played in a while.

Par 71, shot a 91.  Iron play terrible.  I mean horrid.  hit 1 green, lots of putts.  Just off.

Need to work on driving the ball and iron play.

First two rounds of the year this weekend. Hit the ball terrible on Saturday and shot a 76. Hit the ball great on Sunday and shot an 83. Sure is a funny game.

Played Saturday and Sunday.

Shot 79 Saturday and that was quite possibly the best I have ever hit the ball. Felt like I couldnt hit it bad if I tried to.

Shot 83 Sunday and it wasnt a pretty 83. It was one that felt like it was a 95. Thank goodness for a decent short game.

105 today on the second round of the season, getting close to my goal of breaking 100.  It would have been really close but I blew 6 shots trying to get out of two bunkers, looks like I need to practice getting out of them.

First time breaking par! Played 9 holes and shot 35. It's not that hard of a course, but still nice to break par. Two birdies one bogey. The only bogey i had was a 3 putt on the first hole... easily could have been a 34. Guess that's what keeps us coming back.

72 par | 6,223 yards | 119 slope

69.9 rating

86 on a par 71 course. Had my career low score of 84 here last fall so I feel comfortable playing there. Left scores out there, though, was constantly battling a push of the tee. Not fun.

72 on a par 62.  Only my second round of the season and I'm still shaking off the cobwebs.  I also learned that Bridgestone E6 Yellows aren't for me.  I need my chips and pitches around the green and they just don't have enough spin for my taste.  At least they were free!

So today me and some buddies went and played Belle Terre in Laplace, LA. Let's just say that the quote "the better the course the better you play" is very true. The course was terrible. Whenever you hit the green you could see the sand fly up. Dont think it should be like that on Sunday. Tho of the 14 holes where you need your driver I only hit 1 drive that went is the rough.

I shot 88 yesterday and a terrible 93 today… I still managed to beat my match play opponent somehow. Final round of the tournament is next weekend.

    • Thanks! You don't think hitting driver on the range is a good idea and just practice practice practice? Would you care to tell me your practice plan when you started doing the 65-25-10? With higher lofted clubs, do you mean 7+ irons? Cheers!  I really do want to get my driver into my game. Is it smart to start with hybrid from tee instead of lets say iron 4? As the lower clubs I'm having a lot of trouble with at the moment. Or should I just stick to iron clubs and learn them all? I know the end goal is to be able to play all clubs, I just need to know in which order I should do it now when I am having trouble with both. 🙂
    • Take this advice @Ian the anxious golfer. Talk too loudly or too certainly about anything and the Golf Gods will smite you.
    • Greetings, What information are you looking for? Here's a Big LB 3 wood with some specifications listed: BUY GOLF CLUBS ONLINE, USED AND NEW HONMA BIG-LB 3 WOOD GRAPHITE PRECISION REGULAR FLEX #D2011 - HONMA Not sure if that's the same 3 wood as you have. There are quite a few Big LB woods and drivers out there.    As @Vinsk mentioned ebay has lots of irons so do the other trader sites. The 767's are not as commonly traded as the 747's and some other Honmas. Post a picture of the irons that you have and the shaft that's in them. I'm often out there trading clubs and stuff. I can add your 4 iron to my list of stuff I'm keeping my eyes open for and if I come across one I'll let you know.  As a way to expand your options would you consider a 747 4-iron with the same shaft and grip?    Anyhow, welcome to the forum.
    • Last night, I was on the range working on the clearing of the hips on the downswing as well as trying to shallow out the club a bit more to start the downswing. As far as swing thoughts went I was trying to feel my right elbow coming in towards my side and my left elbow going out towards ball slightly at start of downswing. In order to effectively hit the ball I could tell I really needed to clear my hips from that position.  This was actually a pretty consistent day as far as divots go. I don't believe I chunked any and there weren't many shots that felt "bad". However, I was having trouble hitting the ball straight. When I started trying to shallow club I began pulling a lot of shots that a light draw flight which was causing a lot of my shots to get well left of the target.    I was really I'd be able to see some shallowing of the club here considering I felt like I was over-exaggerating the elbows. Maybe I need more hip turn at the beginning of my downswing? Also, is my club face too open at the top of my swing? I couldn't for the life of me get the toe to be any more pointed down than it is in the swing above.
