Shot 93 today at Neshanic. Hit the ball really solidly but had no control over where it was going. I’ll upload the round on Game Golf and see if I can learn something from it when I get home.

Shot 45,44 with 29 putts for another 89 yesterday.  I had one eight on each nine so that didn't help.  I don't think the changes I have been making in my swing this last month or so are helping my scores.  i am striking the ball so much better but scores aren't coming down.  I am hopeful that it will pay off as the changes require less thoughts.

An interesting 78 today. Couldn't hit the broad side of the barn in the front 9, with a 42. No idea what changed, but ended up shooting an even par 36 on the back with 1 bogey, 1 birdie, 7 pars. I'll take it.

Shot a 93 yesterday, couldn't get the things I have been working on to sync, but the majority of the issues fall back to my transition and grip, as usual.

Shot a 79 today, went to the range a little early to loosen up and forced myself to slow things down and concentrate on somewhat of a pre-shot routine, and did the same for each shot on the course.  I had 2 birdies, 9 pars, 5 bogeys, and 2 doubles, hit the ball really good, now just need to keep repeating it.

Congrats, Mike.

Is that played at scratch?

I shot a 72 today, but it was a little smoke and mirrors. Two good birdies on 16 and 17 (17 knocked off a birdie hole for the challenge) helped with the back nine, and a few scrambles (like when I hit my 8I about 100 yards barely getting off the 11th tee, then pitched from 40 yards to two feet)… salvaged a decent round.

No, handicaps but most of the guys are low single digits.

The tall guy in the pic runs our Friday game and bombs it, like 330-340, he's a 1, other guy is a 2, played mlb for 14 years.

Yeah just got invited into the thing a couple days ago, we basically defend it for as long as we can. Basically just about bragging rights.

I’ve been playing a year.  It’s been a rough year but things are starting to click.  Played at the Phonecian today in Scottsdale.  Front 9 was a disaster- shot a 47.  Just dumb mistake after dumb mistake.  Got settled in around the 7th hole and back 9 shot a 40 for a total of 87.  I started playing last year around May.  My goal was to beak 90 I. 2020.  Have done that now numerous times.  New goal-  break 80 before December 31, 2020.  Wish me luck.

Shot a +3 75 today playing the course for the first time. That included a penalty stroke and three 3 putts. The greens were much faster than what I am used to and the greens had some severe undulations and tough pin positions. Birdied the first 3 par 5s, had 3 more birdie looks from 10-15 feet that burned the edge or lipped out.

Hit 14 GIR and gained 1.26 strokes off the tee compared to scratch. Was probably the best I have ever driven the golf ball, felt very confident and was consistently hitting it out of the center of the face and dead straight or a baby fade.

That round should drop my handicap a bit lower. Solid day overall.

Shot a 104 yesterday, really tough links style course. Five putted the second hole and then fired a 10 on the 8th after that I was mentally checked out from the round. Drove the ball amazingly for the first 7 holes, then topped my drive on the 8th and couldnt find it again until about the 15th hole. Rough day, hopefully better ones are in store.

95 today on a short, narrow course - Forest Oaks.  I left a few strokes on the course to OB drives when I could have got the job done with a hybrid or something.  Hard to know what was the right call on those.  Freakin' 98 on Wednesday in high winds at Boca Greens.  Hard to say how I would have done that day without the wind, but needless to say I have fallen away from my good streak when everything just seemed to be working.  So...hard.

Ups and downs, boys.  Golf giveth.  Golf taketh away.

86, 76 this weekend. Haven’t learned to play/ control the draw yet.

Putter was extra bad during the 76. Could not make a tap in without maximum focus, but I got it done and won the money.

Shot 34 (+7) on a 9-hole par-3 course with my “scoring ball”, since me and my friend were each playing multiple balls for practice / fun, while having some adult beverages.

Pretty much all shots were partial / flighted wedges except one full swing with a 7-iron. Had 9 nGIR/GIR, which was nice, but the greens were so awful getting up and down for par was just as likely as up and 3-putt for double bogey.

Nice departure from my normal weekend round.

73, -3 on the front and got sloppy when the wind picked up on the back. Made a huge birdie on 18 to win a double or nothing $70 press.

Shot a 40 today ay my local nine hole muni. It’s the only place I can book as a single. Driver was hooky, which makes me crazy. Hooked all but one drive. Long irons were much better. Parred the last hole with a 4 iron on a side hill lie from 165. 5 iron was good too. Short irons and partial wedges were excellent. Had two up and downs from 50+ yards.

Pulled the two par three shots with 7 irons. Height was good but they drew too much. I was good at getting out of the sand but not close enough to the pin. Putting was good too with 16 putts. Made a 25 footer and 8 footer for one putts.

    • Taking your dispersion and distance in consideration I analyzed the 4 posible ways to play the hole, or at least the ones that were listed here. I took the brown grass on the left as fescue were you need to punch out sideways to the fairway and rigth of the car path to be fescue too.  Driver "going for the green"  You have to aim more rigth, to the bunker in order to center your shotzone in between the fescue.  Wood of 240 over the bunkers I already like this one more for you. More room to land between the fescue. Balls in the fescue 11% down from 30% with driver. Improve of score from 4.55 to 4.40. 4 iron 210 yards besides the bunkers.    Also a wide area and your shot zone is better than previous ones. This makes almost the fescue dissapear. You really need to hit a bad one (sometimes shit happens). Because of that and only having 120 yards in this is the best choice so far. Down to 4.32 from 4.40. Finally the 6 Iron 180 yards to avoid all trouble.    Wide area an narrow dispersion for almost been in the fairway all the time. Similar than the previous one but 25 yards farther for the hole to avoid been in the bunkers. Average remains the same, 4.33 to 4.32.  Conclusion is easy. Either your 4iron or 6 iron of the tee are equaly good for you. Glad that you made par!
