Playing the Homestead Resort courses this weekend.  Hopefully the weather isn't too cold and rainy.  Ugh!  Cascades on Sunday and the Old Course on Monday.  The Virginia State Golf Association is having an event, $116 to play both courses.  We have 4 couples going down, should be a good time.

Anybody played the courses?  Will be my first time.

I have played them.  Very nice, very challenging with a lot of reward for smart play and will eat your lunch if you are a chance taker.  Always is really good shape...You will enjoy these courses.

Haven't played since they closed up the third course (former Lower Cascades). Current Cascades (former Upper Cascades) is challenging and as stated above punishes failed risk-taking.  Old Course is OK, but a little bland for my taste. Also, I'm told the resort hotel is OK, but not what it once was.  But it's a very pretty time of year to be there.
