I've been Playing Golf for: 7 years
My current handicap index or average score is: 73 (I don't keep a solid handicap - making it a goal to get better about this in 2016)
My typical ball flight is: my natural flight is a fade, but I most commonly will play a small draw (2-5 yards max).
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: I cannot stand it when I hit spinning pull fades!!!

Sorry this isn't in slow motion, I had some encoding issues getting the file to Vimeo in slo-mo :(

I take lessons from a swing coach where I live, but definitely open to suggestion with that slight over the top motion that I've got.  My body just loves to move left too soon... (especially under the gun)

Nice looking range!

I'd recommend allowing the left shoulder to work downward longer on the backswing. Will help you keep your head and hips from drifting to the right and reduce/eliminate those spinny fades.

Ok so analysing a swing like this certainly gets beyond my pay grade, especially with someone who I believe does swing analysis himself. But having said this, the only thing I think I see is a swing that is too long for the shoulder rotation. In other words, the arms keep going when the shoulders have stopped turning.

Sorry for such a late response, but yes, the shoulders are a KILLER for me sometimes!

I always have to remind myself to turn the shoulders rather than complete the swing by making my hands travel further.

That being said, I also have struggled with reverse pivots, hence that sway (overcorrection) you see in the swing.  Trying to get it a bit more centered now.

    • I would say your back nine is the second nine you play that day. It's part of what makes getting some of those holes tougher. Or, if 18 holes are played pretty often, out of A, B, and C, and you often play A and C, A is the front and C is the back, regardless of the order you play them in. That way not birdieing C #7 isn't overcome by birdieing the easier A #7 on a day you played it C-A instead of A-C. But, at the end of the day, nobody really cares except yourself.
