For the life of me I still can't believe that J.D. is going to spend most of 2008 honing his game on the Nationwide Tour!! His game is gone for sure but who really cares....just watching all his"TinCup" antics is worth every dollar, although most times it's only for 36 holes.

What on earth makes you think that? JD will get 20+ starts on the PGA Tour next year. If he plays a single Nationwide Tour event next year, I'll eat my DryJoys.

I'm so sorry but I was wrong.A guy at work told me the story but I've looked it up and he was wrong.sorry again

Does that mean he loses his Maxfli ride?

Daly is a huge draw no matter where he plays, hence the sponsor's exemptions. You never know what you will get with him, a great performance or a train wreck.

Veteran tournament golf spectators like to be entertained. I once followed Chi Chi Rodriegez and Lee Trevino playing together and had a ball; both had more props for jokes in their bag than clubs, balls and tees. If Chi Chi pulled out a rubber snake at the tee and started swinging it like a club, the Lee would pull out a bigger rubber snake and before you knew it they would be fencing with rubber snakes. Then they would nonchalantly pull out a driver and hit a perfect drive with their followers still laughing and taking photos. These guys weren't primadonnas and didn't want or need absolute silence and stillness to hit a shot.

JD is much the same; he's a party guy, and entertainer. He's there to have fun and if he plays well, so much the better. He has two majors and doesn't have to pull it out to show he is a golf MAN. Anyone who doesn't love him is strange. He'll play on the tour as long as he wishes to entertain and sposor money will pay his way; he needs no winnings.

I'm in So. Cal. this week visiting some manufacturers, the buzz is in the air. I'll get more details whether they are putting him on Titleist or Cobra

I would lean towards Cobra but I would love to see him in a Titleist hat. Can you see him and Feherety doing commercials together?

How about this:

Neither. And that's all I'll say about that.

The biggest mystery to me is why anyone still cares about JD. I have almost no clue as to why Daly is still so popular. He certainly isn't an "everyman" like some portray him to be. Far from it, actually.

actually i don't remember asking for any opinions to this thread

Actually, I don't remember you not asking for any opinions to this thread.

How about this:

I have to agree. Titliest isn't going to be sponsoring any NASCAR either. Daly doesn't really fit the mold. I thought 84 Lumber was a good match and showed that all involved had a good sense of humor.

    • Day 312 - Better finishing position, fuller backswing, PRGR to see how swing speed was.
    • Going to a Friendsgiving tomorrow and I am bringing a no-bake cheesecake. I make the crust too big, but I think it turned out good. The filling is really good.
    • Sure, but how was your alignment? 🙂 Day 53 - 2024-11-22 Mirror work after getting back home. Wife is a superstar for her career/job/whatever.
    • I would say your back nine is the second nine you play that day. It's part of what makes getting some of those holes tougher. Or, if 18 holes are played pretty often, out of A, B, and C, and you often play A and C, A is the front and C is the back, regardless of the order you play them in. That way not birdieing C #7 isn't overcome by birdieing the easier A #7 on a day you played it C-A instead of A-C. But, at the end of the day, nobody really cares except yourself.
    • Day 128: played 9. Nice little even 9, with 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.
