Happy Birthday, Jerry! (@jsgolfer for tagging purposes)

Go East, even if today adds one more year to the collective total of the team! :-P

And happy birthday to you too, @3puttmaster . Welcome to TST, and good to see you jumping into various conversations.

For the others whose birthday it is (from the sidebar), contribute more and I'd recognize you!

Happy birthday, @rehmwa ! Same age as me.

HAHA - you're old!

Not injured yet (yesterday afternoon 18 holes 50 degrees and 40 MPH gusts; yesterday night climbing gym for three hours), but recovery is taking longer and longer and I need a lot less calories than a couple decades ago.

And I wish those kids would get off my lawn.....

Happy Birthday, @BamaWade ! Hope all goes well with your game down there. I know you have brutal summers, but hopefully the winters aren't too bad where you are.

Some other birthdays today, but they all add up to a total of 1 post between them, so I don't really recognize them.

    • At what temp is it cold? I played last week, and it was overcast and 38 when I started overcast and 37 when I finished, and I decided below 40 was too cold. I have played in the rain, however not when it was below 50. Having said that; the forecast for Saturday is supposed to be 38 and sunny, so if it’s sunny I may play.
    • I think @iacas point is to help keep your arms more connected to the chest within the swing. Your arms are folding across your chest at the top of the backswing which may be causing the loss of the grip. Staying connected will, effectively, shorten the backswing a bit. Phil and Hogan were connected, especially on the downswing, where-as your arms are well behind. That isn’t lag, either.
    • Good for Neil Young and Warner Brothers. Neil Young’s Music No Longer On Spotify; Joe Rogan Silent Today On Covid Vaccine Dust-Up With Iconic Singer – Update The music platform seems to have picked the podcaster over the iconic songwriter in a battle over misinformation
    • I think the real shame in all of this is that Bud Selig was actually voted in the Hall of Fame! In 1998, everyone knew Sosa and Mcgwire were juicing but Bud Selig didn't make steroids illegal in baseball until 2002. If congress didn't get involved and Bud Selig had his way baseball may have never had a steroid policy. Then he stood up there all holier than though stating how he put a stop to steroids in baseball. Yeah, after turning a blind eye to it for close to a decade. Not only that but Bud Selig took over the United States most popular sport. By the time he was done with it, baseball became the United States 4th most popular sport. Behind the NFL, College Football and the NBA. For this Bud Selig was paid roughly 20 million per year. (Roughly twice what Roger Goodell and David Stern made. Two guys who actually GREW their sport.) During his tenure World Series ratings dropped from mid to upper teens to getting a 7 or an 8 in a "good" year. he was acting commissioner when the World Series was cancelled in 1994.  When Rob Manfred took over his first task was defined as "Rebuilding the fanbase". Why on Earth would the previous guy be a hall of famer if you have to rebuild the fanbase right after him? Not only would I argue Bud Selig isn't a Hall of Famer, but I would argue he may have been one of the worst (at least over-paid) commissioners in recent American Sports History.
