I'll be staying up a little late tomorrow night for this!  Kudos to the European Tour for putting these three stars together the first couple days.  I'm interested to see how Rory plays, and I fully expect Rickie and Jordan to play pretty well coming off great play at Kapalua.  It's going to be a great 2016 season!

Who do you think will be feeling the most pressure? I would say Rickie since most think he could be part of the new "Big 3". If he flops, I feel like that would be a major set back for him mentally. It will be important for him to not try and do too much too early... We'll see

I think Jason Day would take issue with that. Especially with Rickie still working on getting his first major, no?

Rickie is still in tier 2 as far as rankings go. Spieth, Day, and McIlroy are a level above as things stand right now.  If Fowler wins a major in 2016, he'll definitely be worthy of a spot in the "Big Whatever."

McIlroy is feeling the most pressure right now.  He was the sure-fire top golfer in the world after winning Match Play and at Quail Hollow last year.  He got the injury shortly thereafter, and Spieth and Day went on an absolute tear to end the season.  He's going to be very ready to prove he's just as good or better than the rest to start this season.

That being said, it's probably not too tough being any of these guys.  They're all pretty decent at this golf thing.  Haha

He definitely would. And rightfully so. Rickie is not there yet. Some think Fowler could be on the verge, which is what makes this pairing so interesting for Fowler, even if it is an early season tournament. If Fowler performs well, you will see the 'Fowler train' begin to pick up serious momentum...

Thrash13, good point regarding McIlroy.

My DVR listing shows it broadcasting from 10:30 p.m. ET through 8:00 a.m. the next morning.  Anyone know which hours are the "live" broadcast and when they switch over to the re-broadcast?

So the upside to being out here on the west coast is that I'll get to watch the marquee groups entire first round without losing any sleep over it.  The downside is that everything else worth watching is all while I need to be sleeping. :(

Whenever I'm out there it weirds me out that games start while I'm still at work.  Don't think I could get used to that.

And the opposite for me.  The first time I went to New York and had to wait until 1pm to watch the first football games, I'm like ... what the heck do you people do all morning?!?!?! :-P

    • I'm good with this. That feels about right to me.  If the judge is a golfer he has a chance.
    • The guy needs a new caddy. Hopefully it is not a genetic issue and he can move past it with a more calming influence on his bag.
    • Seems like he has a larger issue of possible felony indictment if aggravated assualt/battery charges were filed. His hope is that of a misdemeanor if a good lawyer can knock it down to 'had a very bad day'.   Worrying about a separate tour ban would be a secondary concern. Lifetime ban seems to be an over the top suggestion unless there were significant injuries, etc.
    • Played 18 yesterday. I shot a 92. No birdies on the card. I played at Deer Ridge with the TST gang on Sunday. No birdies there either.  I haven't made a single birdie in my last 4 rounds. Yet, I'd swear the swing changes I've been working on are starting to improve my swing. I keep heading out there with tons of optimism only to play terribly. My handicap is on the rise, but I maintain my optimism. I have golf league tonight. It's got to come together some time.... right?
