DeChambeau & the Hat

  1. 1. On a scale of one (1) to ten (10), how do you feel about DeChambeau and the hat.

    • 1 - It doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, you're just a jealous 18 handicapper.
    • 4 - Who am I to judge? The guy is on a roll and golf needs more personality.
    • 7 - Not going to lie, it is a bit irritating, and I know all I need to know about DeChambeau from that hat.
    • 10 - I'd rather watch a Caitlyn Jenner documentary on re-run than see Dechambeau's hat one more GD time.

This post was not meant to be taken all that seriously; however, based on the consensus it looks like I need to move on. If DeChambeau, however, continues to pop up on tour events, don't be surprised if you start to see and hear the word 'polarizing' when discussing DeChambeau. Think Patrick Reed.

Thanks for participating and hit 'em straight this weekend.

I see nothing wrong with the hat, however not helping your flight partners search for a lost ball and simply standing in the fairway waiting is a big no no in my books and shows a real lack of class.

Who did that?

DeChambeau on Saturday when in a flight with McIlroy and Sullivan. Sullivan put a tee shot in bushes down the right and searched for 5 mins before returning to the tee.

McIlroy, the ref and members of the crowd helped search whilst DeChambeau stood in the fairway with his caddie.

He's young.   It's correctable.

He did apologize on Twitter for the mistake.  I would attach the Twitter link but my work computer blocks all forms of social media.

That's good to hear. As calm as he tried to be in pre-round interviews, I can't even imagine how nervous he really was and he came across in all other instances as a nice guy

Awesome hat. In my opinion there are few things worse than a grown up with a baseball cap, looks ridiculous. These hats are very light, cool and comfortable.

I like the hat but it provides little protection from the sun... baseball caps supply a bit more, but when you get older... best hat I could find that looks decent on you, even with a swoosh... don't think Bryson will go for this until he is 50 or signs with Nike.

He claimed he didn't know they were looking for Sullivans ball but given the amount of time that had passed and that Rory was also missing I don't believe him.
