Finally picked up my first Eagle.

412 yd par 4.  Driver 285 yds to 127. 52 degree dunked.   (Actually, I don’t know if it was dunked.  It was a bit uphill and behind a bunker, so I didn’t see it go in.  But, I didn’t see a ball mark anywhere)

Had a Hole-in-One today (Nov 4, 2020) on hole #3 (130 yards) at the Marovitz Golf Course located in Chicago Park District. Course overlooks Lake Michigan. I was playing my Tad Moore OA Hickory irons and used a Deep Face Mashie. It was my first hole-in-one and we were able to see it hit the green and roll into the hole. Pretty damn exciting - I've only been playing for 62 years 😀

Congrats!  That's exciting.  Make sure to save that gutta percha ball you used to make the hole-in-one.  😁

Need to claim my under par achievement! Just shot a 68 at Glengarry golf links near Latrobe PA. It’s a par 70. Shot -2 on front and even on back. 5 birds and 3 bogeys. First under par and first under 70 for my life. Pretty excited!

Much appreciated.... on a side note my next time out I made 7 straight bogeys to start my day. Missed all 7 greens. After that I caught fire and played the last 11 even. I was more nervous the next round coming back from that 68 than I was on my final gap wedge into 18!

Does no sixes for nine holes count? I played Sunday and went 5-5-4-5-5-4-3-4-5 for a nice little 40.

No. Halfway there, and has to be 18 holes played at once.

    • 104 rounds so far for 2020. Not likely to add much to that number as the weather has made a turn for the worse.  Thirty different courses but only four were new to me.  A pre-COVID trip to Reunion, FL, in February, otherwise all the rounds were in the SE section of the Mitten.
    • Day 336 - November 30, 2020 Did some backswing work with MirrorVision after the demo time limit expired. 🙂
    • Name them. Your list below doesn't really do that. It just says "football games" and "weddings" and things. I hadn't gone searching specifically for this before today, but I also haven't heard of any super-spreader events held entirely outdoors. Was the White House event a ‘superspreader’? Experts explain the phenomenon Superspreader events can lead to dozens or hundreds of COVID-19 cases. Experts explain what the biggest risk factors are. Being outdoors doesn’t mean you're safe from COVID-19 – a White House event showed what not to do The outdoors is less risky than an enclosed room, but it isn't a COVID-19-free zone. Here's what you need to know. Look, even if there were none (super spreader events entirely outside), I'm not saying "being outdoors is 100% safe." I'm just asking a question. Trying to gain some knowledge here. This is not me arguing a point, and is separate from (but related to) the DMM stuff. Sturgis Bike Rally: Superspreading Event or Not? A new study says that the recent bike rally in Sturgis is linked to 260,000 cases of COVID, but South Dakota officials don't agree. There's disagreement over that one, and was the bike rally outside, or did the bikers stay in hotels, go in bars and drink and eat together, etc.? Do you have a specific example? Indoors. Be specific. A quick search on that gave me this: Big indoor portion to that one, and nine people were later positive after that.
    • I love golf hats. All kinds. But this thread is for those special hats you own that are in your personal Hall of Fame. Preferably non-OEM. Let's see them!    First up is Seminole. I have played in three stroke play tournaments there and its an incredible place. Second up is my Crosby hat from the Clambake. I have never been but it was a gift from a great friend of mine and tied in the black and brown I used to wear. The logo is supercool and a suede bill that screams 80s.
