Swimsuit Issue 2016 - Plus Sized Cover Model?

So, apparently… one of the three SI Swimsuit Editions this year features a plus-sized model.

Without being super-PC, what are your thoughts?

For all I'd heard about this issue, I was expecting to see someone on the cover who would dwarf a nose tackle.

I don't know.  Wouldn't have flown in the past, but you gotta do things differently in this era to get attention.  Kind of like Playboy's decision to make people buy their magazine for the articles (as opposed to "for the articles").

I do not.

I do not like women that are sticks but I do not care for a lot of cushion either.

I don't know, she's not exactly my cup of tea. However, I find her much more attractive than I do Rousey. I don't really care much about SI or the swimsuit issue, but I do find it a bit annoying that they are putting plus sized women in/on it. Overall though, just can't be too bothered by the whole thing.

They are swimsuit models, so hard for them not to be objectified, since their sole purpose in the issue to to tantalize guys while wearing the minimal amount of clothing.  

As for the plus sized model on the cover, it's a PC ploy, let's make women happy that there's a larger women on the cover so they don't rant on social media about how SI swim suit issues contribute to bad self images and unhealthy eating habits for girls and women.  If SI really thought plus size models were representative of what men want to look at they'd made the entire issue with plus size models, not just one token one.  I think she's attractive but she would never make the issue, no less the cover if this wasn't about PC.

I saw the TNT special when they announced the cover models. They brought out her, RR and some pro model. The plus size girl wasn't much bigger than RR who is a whopping what 130ish. Plus size is when you have to shop at the women's big and tall store.

If i bought the magazine i would expect super models.. Their choice my money.. Same with Playboy. I got the new issue ( my subscription ended in Jan and I didnt renew). Now aside from liberal comentary in that magazine no more naked beautiful women.. I put up with the politics for the women before and the reviews but difinitely not interested now.
