Hillary was handed the nomination, her only real competition was an admitted democratic socialist.  If Biden had run or any other real democrat she'd be lagging in the polls.

Let's see how presidential she looks when Cruz or Trump is across from her, she's known to lose her cool on more than one occasion.

I did not say she looked cool; I said she looked presidential, and it was sad that she sounded more like a president than the other guys who are locked in an MMA fight. I could even take her voice today as I worked - that was surprising.

Oh, Trump will do his sarcastic putdowns -- she is low energy, Bill was an embarrassment, she belongs in a prison, she was the worst sec of state, she killed Vince Foster,  she took money from the banks, etc. Of course, wasn't it Trump  who said "if someone paid me $250k to talk, I would show up." etc. His putdowns will work for the voters who are voting for him, and not the other way around.

It's not as if I like Hillary. I imagine that I could not take working for her. The Prez election always seems a choice between the lesser evil, as seen by an individual. I certainly did not want the GOP to control Congress and the Executive Branch ... that would prove to be a bigger disaster than what we have now. But on the other hand, if they were in control, they might never have control again for another decade or so...

Man, when you see those 4 choices I just can't help thinking to myself why not extend Obama another 4 years?  :(

Well, duh, this stands to reason and is why we need Trump.  Obama caters to the Muslims at the expense of Israel and frankly, any rationality.

If you want us to be Europe in 8 years, elect Hillary.  We'll have our no-go Muslim slums, we already do in Minneapolis and Detroit.  They'll expand because they use political correctness as a weapon.  The term Islamophobia is in their manifesto, it's why CAIR exists.

We gotta have some smart people stand up to the obvious threat that is ahead.

Shut Muslim immigration down for now, get a handle on those who are here.  We're not too far gone, Europe is, they are done as a free society because of good-intentioned idiots.

Call me a bigot, I bet there are a few in Paris and Brussels who wish someone would have stood up 20 years ago.

I am voting for Trump. Not because I think he will make a decent potus. I don't. I look at him as a new start for something better in DC politics. I have seen and had to work with what the career politicians have done the past few decades. A winning Trump sends a message to both parties that they need to make some positive changes in the way they govern America.

The GOP establishment will lose the election if they block Trump. Then again, I think they don't mind Clinton winning since it keeps the "DC politics as usual" scenario in place. She serves her 4 years, screws up, and they run their GOP guy who wins.

What is funny about what the GOP establishment is doing is that it's taking away the right to decide from a majority of their voters. Plus it is not consistant with their own "autopsy report" they generated to see why they lost to Obama twice. Part of that report said they needed to listen to more carefully to their voters. What they are trying to do, to my way of thinking, almost smells like communism, or at the very least, just a little pink around the edges.

I really don't get the "lets get the politicians out of Washington" argument.

Would you want to get the lawyers out of law practice?  The car mechanics out of the shop?  How about the doctors out of the hospital?

What is the difference?

If the lawyer charged you $200 a day for the rest of your life would you think that lawyer was worth the money? If the mechanic fixed one part of your car and broke another part so you would have to go back every month would you feel it was worth the money? If a doctor fixed one ailment while causing another so you would. . .

Basically, we are paying for these politicians to act like nobility, and to be treated as "commoners". They act wealthy and elite and look down upon the middle class.

The politicians no longer run the government for the best of the people, they do it for the best of themselves.  We want the career politicians out so the corruption at least slows down and we start to get back to the government serving the people.

They look down on everyone that isn't filling their pockets with more money.  The politicians serve the 1% they always talk about wanting to screw, it's a game.  Why do you think the Democrat super delegates aren't voting for Bernie, because they know he would mess with the people they look out for.

The difference with all those trades you listed is that I have a choice who I want to do the work I need done. If one of them does a crappy job, I have other avenues I can take for satisfaction. Not so with today's politicians.

That doesn't really address my point.

You would still take your car to a mechanic. Not to a plumber.

You would still hire another lawyer, not a police officer.

Not sure why people think its smart to have somebody without experience do a job that requires it... I wouldn't hire an engineer to fix my golf swing.  There are other politicians to vote for, like Kasich, but instead the likes of Trump and Cruz are leading...

Your point is you want to keep the same type of people (mindsets) running the country who, imo are doing a poor job due to their handlers, and their own personal agendas once elected. I want something better from our elected officials.

Ah, yes, vote cast. I see I am not alone in my support for Trump. My guess is a lot of closet Trump supporters out there, they just don't want to deal with the harassment that comes with openly supporting him.

I doubt it. Trump supporters are very vocal and proud to be out of the political closet ;)

Untrustworthy Clinton

People call Clinton "untrustworthy", "liar", "criminal" as if she's the only one.  As far as I can tell, those are just synonyms for "politician."

Mostly likely I'm voting Democrat because I think the Republican choices are just awful; Democratic choices are less awful.

The problems in Washington politics can't and won't be solved by the President.  Congress has a 15% approval rating but over 90% re-election rate and no term limits.  So what's the real problem here?  I have a personal policy that after a term or two, I vote against my incumbent representatives.  I don't care what party they are or who is running against them.

I'll vote for trump only because of this. And I couldn't vote for Hillary if she was the only one running.

    • Hello, I've been playing a Teardrop td17 F.C. putter for many years and love it. It still putts and feels as good or  better than any of the new putters I've tried and it's in excellent condition except the face has dings in it ever since I bought it used that kind of bother me. I was just wondering if it's possible to have some really shallow horizontal grooves milled into the face on a "roll face" putter. I think I would rather spend some money on it instead of trying to get used to a new putter.  Thanks
    • I agree with @klineka & @DaveP043 above.  When a new member first joins the club they cold be told that they are not eligible for tournaments until they have an established HCP.  As you said, it only takes a few rounds.  If they do not to post HCP that was their choice and choices have consequences.  If playing in the tournament is important to them then they should step up and establish an HCP.  Maybe they miss the 1st tournament, is that a real big deal?  And if it is a "Big Deal" to them then they had the opportunity to establish the HCP. As for not knowing how to report for HCP I assume your club has a pro and they should be able to assist in getting the scores reported and I suspect out of state courses may also have staff that can assist if asked.

    • Cool here's my tweak, "If a player’s ball lies in the general area and there is interference from exposed tree roots or exposed rocks that are in the fairway or 1 club length from the fairway the tree roots and exposed rocks are treated as ground under repair. The player may take free relief under Rule 16.1b.[But relief is not allowed if the tree roots only interfere with the player’s stance.]
    • I would never do the extended warranty on the $50 slow cooker.  I also routinely reject the extended service plans on those toys we buy for the grand-kids.  I do consider them on higher cost items and will be more likely to get one if the product has a lot of "Electronic Tech" that is often the problem longer-term.  I also consider my intended length of ownership & usage.  If my thought is it would get replaced in 2-3 years then why bother but if I hope to use it for 10 years then more likely to get the extension. I did buy out a lease about a year ago.  Just prior to the lease end date the tablet locked up and would not function.  I got it repaired under the initial warranty and would not have bought it out if they had not been able to fix it since IMO once electronic issues start in a car they can be hard to track down & fix.  They did fix it but when I bought out the lease I paid up for the extended warranty the would cover electronic failures because my intent is to keep that car for another 8-10 years and I just do not trust the electronics to last.  Last week the touch screen went black and was unresponsive.  It reset on the 2nd time I restarted the car but that is exactly how the last malfunction started.  I fully expect to have a claim on that on repair under the extended warranty.  I do not recall the exact cost to fix last time since I did not pay it but I think it was @ $700-$800 and I suspect that will be higher next time.
