lack of weight forward, too armsy, collapsing wrists, flips, poor tempo, not keeping the inclination ... several, if not all of these issues, in the same swings.

The biggest flaw see is over swinging.  Many golfers try to swing as hard as they can right from the top.  A cast is often the result.  Spinning out and poor weight shift as well.

Whilst I am pretty awful golfer, my best friend has been a pro for 40 years, and we have spent much time discussing such matters. There are several common errors made, and your suggestion is one. Indeed far to many people over swing, and need to shorten it. A long swing is really for the better golfer. Strangely enough, he told me that the grip is rarely the problem. Others include, gripping the club to tightly, trying to hit the ball to hard, over movement of the body, and lifting the head to early. There are countless amounts of minor tweaks that can be taken into account, but unless you are of a very high standard, they aren't worth worrying about.

In my bag (Motocaddy Light)

Taylormade Burner driver, Taylormade 4 wood, 3 x Ping Karsten Hybrids, 6-SW Ping Karsten irons with reg flex graphite shafts. Odyssey putter, 20 Bridgestone e6 balls, 2 water balls for the 5th hole, loads of tees, 2 golf gloves, a couple of hand warmers, cleaning towel, 5 ball markers, 2 pitch mark repairers, some aspirin, 3 hats, set of waterproofs, an umbrella, a pair of gaiters, 2 pairs of glasses. Christ, it's amazing I can pick the bloody thing up !!
