A different course once it dried out. Plenty of water and tight fairways.  Thick rough near the greens and pin placements on the edges of greens.  The greens were very challenging and lighning fast.  Some players had serious difficulties trying to hold the greens with their approach shots.  I thought there was some great skill on display on Sat and Sun.  Day was able to handle the mental pressure of the course better than everyone else.

When Day was running after that putt on 17, I think he was running to get in a better spot to watch the ball break around the hole to prepare for his comebacker, not because he thought he'd made it.

I did too.  But when we saw the replay and got to watch his expression, I changed my mind.

Watched the final round yesterday. One thing for sure is, Rory's putting game is in the crapper

Conditions change from day to day. How is that unfair? Everyone plays the same course. You say it's unfair and then immediately after say that they didn't adjust - which is it?

I felt it was unfair to all the golfers, not just a few.  The greens were to fast even by admission of the dude that was trying to manage the green speed.  Estimated green speed Saturday afternoon was 15.  This is what was out of control.  The golfers didn't adjust or couldn't adjust, don't know as I have never played at this level.  The speed was ridiculous.  They did however adjust for the Sunday finals.  Really fun tournament to watch on television.

Just on philosophical standings, I find that a statement like that for a competition of any kind to be a self apparent oxymoron.

Golf tournaments are actually one area where I'd say the word "unfair" is pretty much impossible as they all play the same course - crappy or nice or otherwise (the obvious exception being morning vs afternoon tee times on some courses seems to be a big effect)

But I know what you are saying and I agree with the intent.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but where can I watch a replay? Seems this was exclusively aired and I couldn't watch live.

Golf Channel may have it on demand or on line.
