I dont necessarily mean like tiger Woods or Arnold Palmer but just the next guy to be recognized easily by golf fans. I think it'll be Justin Thomas, hes still young and already has some success on tour and if he keeps hanging around spieth maybe some of spieths skills will rub off on him.

I am going to say either Beau Hossler or Cole Hammer.  Both have some serious game and got exposed to some tour events at a young age.  I think Hossler is finishing up his collegiate career, and Hammer is in the middle of his.  I would love to see one of the Clemson guys like Stephen Behr get on tour and win a few events.

I also like these guys that are currently on tour but not "big names": Tony Finau, James Hahn, and Smiley Kaughman.

I dont follow golf all that closely to make a good guess. But a lot of the press seem to be high on that DeChambeau kid. US Am champ and played well at the Masters. He does things his own way, and when players get that far with their own methods, it usually means he's a natural talent. Not just a swing machine.

In the future, I like that James Hahn guy. I caught some of his game on tv a while back. Saw something I like. Nothing in particular, but something.

I think it is going to take someone with the skills, and a winning attitude, (in golf) that Woods has/had to be the next big needle mover in the game.

James Hahn is already 34. That's too old to be the next big thing in anything but politics.

LOL, that's what I was going to say.

He made a big splash nationally in 2012, and since then has just been winning lots of amateur and college tournaments.  Hopefully he and his team will do well this weekend so we can see him a bunch next week on the National Championships broadcasts.

I did not know how old he is, so I suppose you are right. I still like something about his swing. Guess I will wait for him on the senior tour....lol

While it can be argued that Jason Day is already a big name, he has only really hit his stride in the last year.  The more I see him play, the more I think he will be the one to reckon with in the next few years.  I think his use of the 2 iron and 3 wood at the TPC pretty much puts terror in the minds of his competitors.  He also seems to have the right temperament.  And you can't discount his perseverance at last years US Open, even if he finished off the lead.

Agreed, I like the guy a lot.  I didn't realize he was that old, either.  Still has probably 5 good years in him to get some more Ws.

Does that mean we're already over Bryson, Koepka and Justin Thomas or they never made the list?

Last year at this time I said Ollie S, but that's not looking good right now. Not sure what's happened to him. I think Spieth, Day and Rory are gonna be the Big 3 for a while. But I do think Justin Thomas and Matthew F have some potential to get up there with them.
