Put MAF back in goal for game 7   I think he deserves it even though he likely wouldn't be back with the Pens next year

Pretty hard to blame Murray for a whole lot though.

Anderson played out of his mind last night.

Nah. It'll be Murray.

I enjoy hockey on the rare occasion I see it, but I passed through Nashville yesterday after spending time with some folks from there and wow, that town is on fire for the Predators.

Their passion is contagious, because I watched my first Stanley Cup final Monday night and had a great time watching it.

Catfish on the ice - hilarious!

Delay of game. Stupid. Not even a real tradition like the octopus.

That and the TTUN-inspired goal chant.

M<an, i've never been less enthused about a final. Only Montreal could have made this final worse. IDGAF about Nashville, and I hate the Pens (even though I grew up near enough Crosby and like him quite a bit. We played in the sames league in HS (QMJ) but my time was well before his. I did play with Roberto Luongo for two seasons of QMJ in highschool. I was his right side first line defence.

And the three days between games for this final. WTF. Mon-Thurs-Sun? Why not Mon-Wed-Fri-Sun. the way it is supposed to be.

Oh yeah. Sorry about that. I sent the NHL a memo at the beginning of the season about my availability to watch the games. Told em tonight, Friday and Saturday were out of the question.

It has been a disappointing playoff. The only good about it is that the B-ruins and Leafies are on the ole golf course with the Habs.

Don't feel like watching hockey. It's already June! Was interested in last two rounds but couldn't care less now

Like the Preds but feeling Pens will find a way to win They always seem to pull the plug on the other team in game 7

Agreed, but all traditions got their start from somewhere...

Stuff I've read suggests it goes back to the 1980's New York Islander dynasty. Think Butch Goring.

Yeah, 80s Islanders.

And the octopus dates back to when it took eight wins to take the Stanley Cup.

Is it really asking too much to have both teams show up at the rink on the same night?

Gotta say though, it was still an entertaining game!

I'm guessing Nashville fans might not agree though.

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
