Ive been pulling everything lately. I know coming over the top is the usual cause of this annoying miss. Ive been working hard on coming more from the inside and not getting so steep, but im still pulling the ball. Well, today i opened my club face at address a bit and BINGO !!!! Im hitting the ball straight as an arrow now. I also noticed that i can shape the ball when i want to now, not just hope for the best. I cant believe that a small set up thing like this is so game changing. I knew i wasn't coming over the top. I guess i was just shutting the club face down at impact and pulling everything. No one has ever said "hey bud, open your club face a little". All you here is "you are coming over the top ". I dont know if this will help anyone or not but it sure helped me. Open club face at address.....go figure. Cant wait til Saturday !!!! Hit Em Good yall. thanks

The ball starts pretty much where the clubface is pointing.

The first thing I tell students who are hitting pulls (particularly if they draw) is to point the clubface to the right a bit more at setup. :-)

Simple Ball Flight Laws fix. Glad you found it.

Yeah, glad to have you here.

If you have a smart phone or a camera, look into starting a Member Swing thread.

    • Thanks a lot I will check that 30 day plan out looks pretty decent.
    • Are the clubs similarly fit?  For example, I could imagine one picking up a well-fit driver and irons that are too short and getting this effect.
    • Welcome to TST, I've had similar issues but only with Driver versus FW Woods. IMO, it might be due to weighting differences of the clubs or shaft flex. Also, I sometimes make a poor swing on irons which may stem from transitions between long and short length clubs mostly with unusual lie or stance. Maybe a change in pre-shot routine of the irons would be beneficial. For longer clubs, I will make a sweeping practice swing. For mid to short irons I try to feel the club bounce and interact with the turf. I also try to concentrate on the swing path, making sure I finish high and at my target  with all clubs.

    • I am having problems transitioning between hitting my Driver and Irons.  When I hit my driver (on the screws) I tend to top  or blade my irons.  When I hit my irons flush, I tend to have issues finding the tee ball with my driver.  Any ideas?
