That's beside the point, and a bit rude to boot. People here are not suggesting that they're going to be better players because of their bags, but it can make golf more enjoyable.

I think this is especially true if you walk and carry. If you have an awkwerd bag that only goes over one shoulder, maybe you get tired quicker. Most of the quality carry/stand bags nowadays, look like backpacks with straps for both shoulders. I certainly get less tired when I walk due to less struggle with the golf bag. BTW, I use a Ogio cart bag most of the time. I do have a Walter Hagen carry/stand bag for days I want to walk the par 3.

Here is my bad and clubs. Bought the bag a couple months back from Japan.

I have the same type bag from a couple of years ago. I really like it. I just don't walk as much as I would like, however. Therefore, the bag is most often in the back of a cart.

I really want to get an OGIO, those bags look and feel nice, anyone have nice comments about them?

I have heard a lot of good comments about OGIO and Sun Mountain bags.

I bought a Sun Mtn 3.5 Lite bag. It's really really light (3.5 pounds) hence the name The main reason for choosing them over OGIO was the sale the golf shop was having at that moment. It was a funky color - burnt orange - think easy to see. Speaking about bags...I recently bought my wife a set of clubs which came with a bag. Boy, what a lousy bag. Having a nice, comfortable bag makes walking the course more enjoyable independent of one's score.

Cheers,
Eric

It would only be appropriate to have a Callaway bag. I've also got a walking bag that's a little easier on the back than this thing.

I recently got bought an OGIO Vision SS. I like it. A lot of nice features and pretty rugged.

Still not totally sold on the Schling System but I haven't been able to walk many rounds yet. Just one actually but I did find myself leaning over while walking a lot less. Once I get to where I am walking a lot I think I'll be liking that. Love the ZBP (Zipperless Ball Pocket) and Woode system.

I can't believe you let Scotty in your bag!

I have an Ogio but I use to have a nike Extreme bag. I kind of miss the durability of it.
The Ogio is ok for carrying but it moves a lot on my pull cart. I get a bad back if I have to carry 18. I know... whaa.
If I'm in a cart, I'd like to get one of those bags with the rotating top.

just got myself an Odyssey carry bag to replace a prize from an outing that the stand collapsed on after 3 rounds of golf. Nice.

Odyssey bag seems both sturdy and very light. Not as light as some out there, but for when golfing back homein the UK, you need plenty of storage pockets for golf suit, extra towels etc!

I'd have gone for a tour style bag if it weren't from the fact that when possible I like to carry my clubs rather than pull a cart or ride in a buggy.

Bridgestone stand bag.

Red, white and black. It's old and heavy as heck. The oval shaped bottom is horrible on golf carts. I need to replace it.

    • Welcome to TST @Camjr.   We're glad you've joined.
    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
    • Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group. Cheers all,
    • I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
