After 2 back surgeries I want to change over to a single plane swing. When it comes to shaft sellection, does anyone have advise on flighted shafts or standard shafts? Shaft length will be the same 4-7 & 1" shorter 8 - wedge. Gap and sand wedge will be standard lenght.

Shaft type is largely irrelevant to the "type" of swing you want to have. It has more to do with your clubhead speed, loading pattern, etc.
