Ive figured this putter out finally !!! I have the #6 which has more toe hang than the #1. I liked it because it help me with pushes , it seemed to rotate better for me. Ive always kept the weight equal in the toe and heel as i was advised to do. Well, i put 20g in the toe and 10g in the heel and now im putting better than i ever have. If you have a Metal X Putter with the extra toe hang, #6 or #9 Try that weight set up. Its counter-intuitive but it works so good for me, Maybe it will for you too. If you have an arc to your stroke and dont have a straight back and straight thru stroke, it works great. So happy right now, im dropping 6-footers at a crazy rate. I need to shave 5-6 shots to break 80 and this will get a few of them. Hit Em Good Yall !!

Good advice and I hope it helps you break 80!

I cant putt for crap with an arc... they go all over the place.  I have a friend who has a huge arc and he is a pretty good putter.  I like the pendulum stroke and try to keep everything inline as that works pretty good for me.

Now go out there and shave some strokes and post in the Breaking 80 thread!!

I am having good results with a Metal X #7 belly, cut down, I like the heavier weight of 400g. (back and through).

No problem, you are welcome.  Sometimes we just need a little push to get going.

Since you live in FL I will have to come down to teach for the winter.  Back up here in summer for more training.  I use to live in Sunrise but didn't golf back then.... in hindsight it is a shame as it was always nice from Dec to March.... Hmmm, where did I leave that time machine????

    • I’d rather have it shut than open. I can find a swing where it’s more shut than that. Open doesn’t work for me, the extended lead wrist gets me steep and I shallow late, leave the face too open (or shank) going to A7. The last 3 instructors I’ve worked with have told me to bow the lead wrist at 4 more and I’ll get away from that and get steep.  When I try and do that my arms come off my chest and path goes too out to in. When I feel like I drop the club behind me at A4 my arms will go out towards the ball pretty good I think, like in the second swing, at A5 my hands bisect the torso.
    • My 2 cents is that if you have to add more than 1.5" or so, you are really in need of new shafts. As far as "orange dot length" is concerned, I always thought that the dot color only denoted lie angle, not length. For example, if I were to order Pings, I would want blue dot (1" upright) at standard length (I fall on the short end of standard range). I just came across an old post on here that give a good Ping chart. Don't comment in there unless it is really pertinent though, as it is quite an old thread.
    • Looks closed to me, Steve.
    • Late to post, but... I managed a par on the 18th on Sunday.  Not a birdie, but now I've birdied or parred every hole on the course! 🙂  👍
    • Day 484: Did some feel rehearsals for my backswing priority piece. A bit of mirror work and noticed my takeaway was getting inside so did some “Matt Wolff- feel” rehearsals Then did some COVID-19 day-3, 4, 5 drills. Some slow 9-3 swings. Contact all over the place. Kind of at a loss for what the issue is right now. Glad I have a lesson tomorrow.
