I thought it might be fun to have a little prize for the winner at the end of the season.  That will keep me more plugged in too.  I'll buy the winner a dozen snells then if I win, doubtful, but I

So here are Wallys tips for new participants: - watch the deadlines for changing your line-up (bench/starters), also be prepared for the yahoo clusterfuq when the schedule changes due to weather

my team got Stenson'd again, now I'm counting only on Dufner as my remaining C player

Someone should have told him don't drink the water - maldita sea la mala suerte

WTF, J Day was listed and I had no idea he WD?

They talked about it all Sunday at the Honda, and it has been on the news since then.

Me, too.  I wonder . .does a guy like Henrik Stenson even stop to consider the impact he's going to have on fantasy golf scores with a last minute WD?  I mean . .really . .how hard is it?  If you're going to WD . .do it before the friggin' deadline.  I'm going to sell all my Henrik Stenson memorabilia.

edit . .I was just about to drag our Ikea sofa out to the yard and burn it but .. you know.  .the wife.

I had a 58 point day with DJ, Rosie, Speith and Garcia. I have Kuch and Rahm on the bench. Not too shabby for a former greenskeeper about to become the TST Fantasy Golf champion.

My strategy is paying off. I figured with huge distance bump from altitude, why load up on big hitters. Rory, FIGJAM, JB Holmes delivered big time for me! Bubba shit the bed, but plenty of golf left to play.

I got Stenson'd too...

Ditto...and the worst kind of WD...at least he could have done it before the round so he didn't burn a fantasy start! Very selfish on his part......

I originally had JB on the team and switched at the last minute. I hope I don't regret that.

My MO has been this:

  1. Post my start list and bench.
  2. Bench does better than starters in round 1
  3. Switch bench with starters for round 2.
  4. New bench does better than starters in round 2
  5. Switch bench with starters for round 3

This is why I don't gamble.

Stop skating to where the puck was.  That's your problem :-P

Okay, I just had my best week of fantasy golf, possibly ever.  Certainly since the format stopped being best ball.

I kept all four players for the first time every round on purpose.  I thought about switching some out, but didn't.  Don't confuse this with tournaments where I keep all four every round but it isn't on purpose.

And all four contributed a 20 at some point.

Phil Mickelson and Jon Rahm in round one, Jordan Spieth in round three, Dustin Johnson by the result.  And I had Snedeker on the bench, who I think was worth 20 today.

239 points for the tournament.  That's easily my best result in a very long time.

But I had to stop playing hockey in 5th grade because I had bad knees!:-P

I did pretty well regardless, 203 points. I had DJ and Rahm as well as Kutch and Spieth.

    • A better way to say it would be using the leg to push the hip, here's a video of what I mean he's referring to the downswing but am I right in saying for the backswing should you do something similar, where you use your leg to push the hip rather than just trying to get the hip to turn clockwise
    • Day 3: COVID-19 day 6 and 7 drills again. Then downswing priority piece work with 7-iron, not much, just 10 balls.
    • Day 69, August 2, 2021 More work on shortening my backswing. I don’t want to even get to hands to right shoulder… at least feeling like that.
    • I'm sure if you look at about two years ago on this site, I mentioned somewhere that after having my first ever sub-80 round (a nice 77 in a tournament!), I failed to break 90 for I think two months.  These things happen. Can't hit an iron?  What's the longest swing you can make with your PW and hit a good result?  If the answer is a chip, go hit some chips and, after some good ones, expand into pitches.  Similar with pitches into 3/4 shots, etc.   This is very likely something you can work out by going back to what you do well.
