I got a pair of AirPods pro for a bonus from work a few months ago. Cheap asses figure giving out bright shiny objects are cheaper than having to shell out real bonuses... But anyway Ive only used them a handful of times. Thesound quality is as good as any other headphone ive used with my phone. Wore them to hit balls and even played a round of golf with no big issues. If i bended over for something, like a golf ball, they tended to get loose or fall out.

Did you do the ear fit test? Mine don’t come out ever. I can slam into a wall and they stay in.

@Vinsk what the heck is TOFA-6?

I read a couple of reviews and they didn't mention anything about a microphone, which leads me to believe they are headphones only which won't work for me. Hands-free phone function is at the top of my list of needs.

I've liked my AirPods Pro, but I'm not 100% satisfied. I've tried the fit test a dozen times with each tip size, and none of them want to stay put, especially in my left ear.

With previous in-ear headphones I've had luck using ear tips like these, but I haven't been able to find any that are compatible with the AirPods Pro. They probably wouldn't fit in the case anyway. Looking around online it looks like some people have had luck with replacement memory foam ones, so I might try that out.

When they work, they work great. Sound cancellation as good or better than my over-ear Sonys.

Yes they have a microphone and you can answer/make calls. But I’ve read the mic isn’t that great...but I haven’t tried it.

I saw a graphic just now on their website that shows it's functions, Answer/Hang Up and Voice Recognition. Had to look for it. What I don't see is any text about it. Makes me wonder if it's inconspicuous for a reason.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kev, but I'll probably end up getting the AirPods Pro. Yes, they're more expensive, but they seem to be the gold standard. Like I said before, I'm going to use them primarily for work, and I'm all about buying quality tools for the job.

Complete non-starters for me. Some of the little things are worth quite a bit with AirPods.

@billchao, @iacas Yeah I can see that if it’s for work or anything ‘important’ the AirPods are worth it. I just use buds for music for the gym and the range. But $50 is a good deal considering the sound quality and easy charging.

Yes. It said the medium attachment in my left and small in my right. They still tend to slip lose when i bend over to pick something up though.

I went to the Apple store and got the AirPods Pro today. I only used them for a couple of phone calls but so far I am very happy with them.

I actually got a call this morning before I got them that made me stop my work to help the person on the line and thought, “This is why I need these.” I should have bought them a long time ago.

I purchased the protection plan with it. The sales associate assured me that it will be covered as long as I can provide the physical unit, even if it’s partially melted from a fryer. I did jump up and down with them in my ears when I got home and they were not at risk of falling out.

    • Of course. I've used different words to start, but like 90-95% of the time it's been this one. And I'm unlikely to switch now.
    • Welcome to TST @Camjr.   We're glad you've joined.
    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
    • Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group. Cheers all,
    • I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
