It was her second putt. And I agree, I couldn’t see anything on the green either. But I also just don’t see any justification for her moving the ball by that much having simply picked it up and put it back down. Right?

I agree.  We’ll never really know why she did it.  Perhaps she went to instinctually mark it, then thought to herself, “Why am I marking this?  It’s a 1 footer.  Just put it back down and tap it in.”  It could also be fatigue that caused her to do than then misplace it.  But that’s still weird.  She’s had thousands of short putts in tournaments.  She must have a regular routine for them.

Ha.  I was just wondering if there is any footage of her hitting short putts before the incident.  I looked up at the TV and she’s on there and just missed a putt, leaving just over a foot.  I’m hoping they show what happens next and they do:  she walks up, marks it and walks away instantly.  She might have been standing in someone’s line or something so that hardly means anything.  But, you know, serendipity.

We do know. She is a cheat. It's that simple. You don't have to think about it much.

I’m not so concerned with why she did it. As it’s been mentioned before it was her shameful attitude about it once it was proven beyond any doubt she broke a rule. She should’ve owned up to it. Instead she rode the victim wagon and still does to this day. She lost me as a fan.

Oh I agree with that.  I just thought we were talking about whether she was actually trying to get an unfair advantage or just had a brain fart.

Thats the thing for me, im guessing it was most likely neither. I bet she genuinely thought it was ok to do. Hence her reaction and why she believed she was being attacked. Doesn’t matter if she knew that it was against the rules. But because enough people did it without penalty, it was ok to do on tour, i guess.

Nope nope nope.

She moved the ball, while bent over and not standing up, barely picking the ball up more than mere inches and immediately putting it down relatively nowhere near where it was.

I'm involved in some pretty protracted conversations… but guys, this was over a year ago, and she hasn't done it since that we know of, has she?

Yeah im aware it wasn’t even close. And Yes she broke the rules of golf. Im not disputing that. But whether or not she thought that that specific rule applied to her is up for debate.

If other tour players are saying they move the ball without penalty, maybe others are doing so as well, fully aware that it is against the rules.

I just get annoyed with tour players thinking they are above the rules of golf. Pace of play for the tour, while completely off topic for this thread, is the thing annoying me more these days.

True. I don’t know about the others but I returned because I came across a recent article where again the author was claiming Lexi as the victim so I revisited.

I believe it had become a habit, a bad habit, and she was called out on it.

Are we back on post #3 in the thread? I think the discussion is done and dusted.

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
