Where are the videos, people?

I figured I'd try it this weekend. Flopping might be funnier with more witnesses.

Is this any better than my first or do I still need to go higher?? This is my work shirt and I decided to catch it in my shirt pocket

I just had to find a lie that had some sand underneath to get the bounce of the wedge helping me.  Just a nice and easy swing is the trick.

Had to get the "old fart" legs moving to make the catch.

I'll have a new one coming soon. Finally went and played today and didn't have a camera so didn't try...

Well I don't have a logo to give you for that, but well done! :-)

I plan to film some flop shot catches today at the TST East Coast/VA outing taking place. After I go to Duck Donuts.

This is hilarious! I might give it a shot after work! An award I may be able to achieve. It would also be nice if I break 100 this weekend also!

Flop shot challenge level 2, hit flop, pick ball out of air with full swing.  :-P

I hit one when I was filming mine where I could not catch up to it. So, I stuck my wedge out and caught it on the downfall and popped it back to me. The thought went through my mind to attempt to hit it with a swing..haha

Wow, I clearly underestimated this challenge! I've been at it for over an hour... plus side is im learning to do a flop shot.

Okay, I'm not sure this fits the criteria enough to earn the award but I gave it all I have at the moment. (Just started playing about 8 months ago. About 8 rounds total.) I had some good flop shots but way out of range for me to get to and catch. This was a ton of fun and I got way more practice than I would normally. Here it is. Best I could do...

And here is what I was dealing with the entire time I was attempting this...

Please do more stuff like this! It was a blast and I got some good practice in. Short game is definitely my weakness.

@TN94z I appreciate your video much more after about an hour and a half trying to make one myself. Nice job man! Impressive!

No, sorry… gotta be a flop shot, not a shot that doesn't get above head high. Just swing a little harder! You'll get it!

+1 for the multiple levels idea. This challenge is on my to-do list (to try) this weekend, but I did have the thought of, "okay, but what's next?" ;-)

No multiple levels. One award is plenty… ;-)

    • I'm sure if you look at about two years ago on this site, I mentioned somewhere that after having my first ever sub-80 round (a nice 77 in a tournament!), I failed to break 90 for I think two months.  These things happen. Can't hit an iron?  What's the longest swing you can make with your PW and hit a good result?  If the answer is a chip, go hit some chips and, after some good ones, expand into pitches.  Similar with pitches into 3/4 shots, etc.   This is very likely something you can work out by going back to what you do well.
    • First range session after another productive session with @iacas.  Working on getting my weight forward and also feel like my front forearm is turning to close the clubface.  Did work with my 6I, Driver, 3W, and 4H and hit all clubs really well with ball flights that overall I wasn't unhappy with.  Playing tomorrow and Wednesday so we'll see how we do.
    • Simplify. Hit some solid chips. Or punches. Build from there.
