And Kisner with an eagle on seven (he started on ten). To 8-under now. Wow.

Kisner dialed in. The Players run he had two years ago will serve him well over the weekend. He also was able to beat some good players down the stretch at Colonial this year. I'd be very surprised to see a collapse from him. He fits the pedigree of a solid player. Maybe not top tier or second tier but in that Jimmy Walker tier from last year where a win wouldn't be shocking.

Not hitting too many greens though. 55% and T47 for the tournament. Meanwhile, Kisner is 93rd in driving and hitting 82% of the greens, which is top of the board. Rory is also hitting 57% fairways, against Kisner's 74%.

Kisner is my favorite golfer. I hope he can hold on. There will be some big players chasing him that are on the course. I expect them to close the gap.

I've been trying to work out why I'm not enjoying the coverage as much as I normally do. I think it's the fact that there are so many good shots that are being punished. I get that they need to toughen it up, but the number of shots that have landed just over the front bunker and run out the back has been a little silly, IMO. For me, watching great golf is always about the quality approach shots rather than anything else - think the Garcia approach to 15 on the final day of the Masters, for example. That would have been off the back and into the water on this course (if it hadn't hit the flag...)

Maybe this is me just never being happy (I'm not a massive fan of the standard PGA Tour target golf)... Anyone else feeling similar?

I'd be really interested to see someone go back and analyse this hole's play from Spieth (10th). For all people talk about his outstanding golfing mind, this feels like following a bad shot with a stupid shot (x3). At least he sort of pulled off the third one!

Would love to see a Kisner win, and this leaderboard looks pretty solid right now. Could be a fun weekend.

Lol, I'm with you there.  Also wouldn't mind seeing Jason Day dunk a few in the water lol.  I like Kisner though, just don't like the 80 sponsorships he has displayed all over himself

With Matsuyama it's a nice win for Japan, sure. Other than that his win brings absolutely nothing to the PGA. A guy with his game, his success, not a word of English, seldom acknowledges the fans...just a total bore.

This makes me think of the video of him chipping into the washing machine. If I'm remembering the commercial correctly.
