Saw this course mentioned in the 702 yard par 5 thread..,

http://clubsg.skygolf.com/courses/scorecard.php?id=7333

Assuming the tour pros get in their normal routine like at any other tournament (practice rounds and range work), what would ...

the final winning score be?

the low round of the week?

What are you asking about? There are two courses. One is 8325 yards.

The course rating is 81.7, so they'd average about 76. The low would be about 70, probably.

Just some quick figures. PGA Tour pros are about +4 to +6, and of course that's the average of their best half of their rounds, so their true average is higher.

Well, the ones that is 8300 yards. I did say Pines Course.

The tour pros would average 76? They play on courses rated 76+ all the time and still shoot 8-12 under.

i heard at that level, handicap gets thrown out. Phil doesn't go up to Spieth and say hey, I'm a +5 and you're a +6. Give me some strokes!

People have still calculated their handicaps. It's not that difficult to do.

I meant that in a more figurative way. There is not a "hey I'm a plus 5 I can play on tour, there is more emphasis on tournament results than handicaps.

By plugging those tee distances into the strokes gained chart here, you get an average round of upper 70s.  Not sure if that adds to the conversation! Lots of variables to consider, but probably a decent starting point.

Yeah my initial post said 76-77 and 70-71, but I thought more people would try to argue with those, so I took off the higher number. :-)

    • It’s been a month or two since I last played, but I took Classic out for a spin, and it worked just fine. The data was able to transfer from my device using my computer as well.
    • Do you guys watch or like any YouTube instructions channel? I’m as a newbie follow a few that think help me learned. It might not better than lesson but for now it will do. I plan to take specific lesson though like griping and swing path. I watch a lot from Danny Maude and Mike Breed.
    • I was thinking “liquid metal” was what someone meant to be “hot melt”.
    • @Shorty, @boogielicious, and @iacas thank you for adding well-reasoned and factual statements to counter @Billy Z’s nonsense.   While I tend to agree to a limited extent that people can be overly sensitive these days, “Indian” and the equivalent (“red skins” and the like) are, as all of you pointed out, offensive—and not just a nitpicky level of sensitivity—but offensive to all reasonable people, given historical context and usage. Therefore, I think the ball club made the right decision. However, I’m not a fan of “guardians,” but I’m happy to see the change.
